I'm confused by all these posts of potential winners??? I read on the rules that they are drawing January 1-7 on January 11. So tomorrow is the very first drawing????

Edited to add: It also says they are contacting by phone or email. I guess not? Like I have been texting. They wouldn't have my address.

Why post rules if you are not going to follow them? A certified letter would have needed to be drawn days ago, well before the posted date.

Congratulations to all of you who received Fed Ex packages. It sounds like you will get to pick the details of your vacation soon. Please share when you have a chance---it is wonderful to get to hear from 'real' (Disers) that they have won.

Now, when Fed Ex pulls in my driveway I will be overly excited & it will probably be just another delivery for DH's work

I'm confused too. How can you text and be informed by mail? Also, why are they picking the winners early? Maybe Disney is just ignoring their own rules again.

I have a quick question- if you entered by text how would they get in touch with you? We are military and we recently moved but our cell company hasnt updated our address yet. will they send it to the address on the account or will they call us?

Thanks! After posting about the fedex letter here I felt like I was committing some sort of crime because I got notification before the 11th! The letter stated I was "potentially" a winner until they received my affy, and it had to be received by them before 3pm on the 11th or they would select an alternate. (I tracked it online and they got it before noon today

I would assume if you entered via text you would get a call to get an address if you entered via email they would have your address foR being logged in to the site right? Maybe they are just announcing the winners on the 11th? Is that possible?

YIKES! I just realized that I moved since registering on line. I updated my address with the Travel Company, but the info on my online account still had the address from a couple of years ago!

Hopefully I didn't already win, and the package came as "undeliverable!"

I just went and looked under my account details that I use to enter and there is no place to put a mailing address. I don't understand how people are getting things delivered. Am I missing something?

I call shenanigans until I see proof. Sorry. But like others have said; there is no place for a mailing addy. Only email and cell. I'm sure you could have taken a pic of the Fed Ex letter. No? Exactly.

Yes that is what they are claiming. That's 3 people so far on this board that have won.

I believe that a fellow Dis'er won. When I sign in to enter, it recognizes me from my already registered Disney account, which has my mailing address/phone and the whole 9 yards. If somehow I were to win, the Fed Ex truck would know where to go. Now if only this would come to be!

They almost never ever come certified via USPS. For Disney, mine have always been overnight/2nd day air via Fedex.

FedEx in our area tends to "deliver" to the USPS. UPS does this too. It irritates me ever so slightly.

Not that I doubt the winner, Disney has always played by their own rules, but-

if Disney didn't follow the printed and stated rules, would that void the contest? I'm sure they have those rules to provide legal protection, could changing the rules open them up to lawsuits?

I just don't want anything screwed up before I get a chance to win

Where are you seeing your address? I go to Disney.com, sign in, got to account details and there isn't anywhere for my address. I moved some time back and I want to make sure it's updated, but I.m not seeing. Where are you going for the info?

If you attempt to make a room reservation - it pulls up the info they have - I just made a ressie yesterday & after logging in & picking dates, I clicked "book now" and up popped all my info, I didn't have to provide it. Try it if you want to see what they have on file for you (you can back out of the "book now" area before entering any credit card info)
