Check in for VGF Big Pine Key (building 9) - hotel or DVC?

Probably hard to say, but any ideas if better to drop bags on hotel side or DVC check in area for these new DVC Resort Studios? Big Pine is probably more convenient for hotel side but curious if there will be push back. Will be checked in on the app with room assigned so no need to interact with any staff but bell services. Will be staying this week during initial launch.

Given online checkin, I doubt it matters. Bell Services at the main building can store your luggage and bring it to you once you're in your room.

That's a good question. My initial reaction is main building check-in for that since it makes more sense due to proximity. But it will be interesting to see if they designate a little spot in the main lobby for that or if they do send everyone over to the VGF1 to check-in, which would be pain to hike back to Big Pine with luggage. Edit: we never online check-in for a number of reasons, so for us we will find out one way or another (but maybe not for awhile as we're sticking with VGF1 for our next three weeks through March 2023.

I’ve always dropped my bags at the main building bell services when staying at the VGF original building, probably because w/ DME the RAC desk was there so I was used to that bell services.

I am curious? I will be staying in the Resort Studio in August.

I’m sure we’ll have folks staying in June & July reporting. I don’t have much confidence in calling the resort because I believe that gets you to an offsite call center & sometimes they just don’t really know.

I'd think it'd be simpler to drop bags at the GF bell services, particularly since BPK is so close to the GF main building.

A couple times we've requested bell services' help to load out early from VGF1, it took 15 minutes for someone to come over from the GF.

There isn't often more than one CM at the VGF1 stand out front. They can't leave it unattended as long as it can take to load guests' baggage onto a cart and into their car, we suspected, so must call over to the main desk at the GF for help.

That would be even more so, I'd think, if you dropped bags off at VGF1 but were staying at the Resort Studios.
