Check-in at Poly

We will be staying at the Poly, arriving this Saturday We are driving from NY. We aren't sure if we will be stopping over. If we don't, we will arrive at the Poly as early as 7:00 in the morning. Is that too early to check in?

Any suggestions on what to do until our room is ready. This is our first trip to Disney, so I am clueless as to how everything works out there. Thank goodness for these boards or I wouldn't have even gotten this far.

We leave in 5 days , so I am sure I will have many questions this week!

You can check in as early as you want. If your room is not ready, they will give you a phone number to call to check if it is ready periodically throughout the day. I would suggest checking in early. You will probably be suprised at how early your room is actually ready. While you are waiting, why not have breakfast at Ohana's, the Kona Cafe or Chef Mickey's? You could also take the monorail to MK until your room is ready. That's what we did. They will store your luggage for you. Have a great trip!

I can't help with your Poly question but wanted to say that we're driving from RI and also arriving on Saturday at probably the same time. We're staying at the Dolphin.

If you see a silver Town & Country van with RI plates, and a WDW plate holder, wave to us!

I'll second the breakfast (character maybe at O'hanas) and a monorail ride to MK. I'll also add - pack swimsuits in a seperate bag and go for a swim in the volcano pool!

Take some time to wander the resort, it's beautiful!

We arrive 7/29 and check into AMO, and then check in 7/30 at the Poly for seven much need nights....How long will you be there?
