Has anyone used Cheaptickets Low Price Guarantee to price match with DLH? DLH has rooms for $289 with the fall/winter discount and Cheaptickets has the same room for $411 before using their 18% promo code. The difference after their promo code ends up being about $200 and they are willing to refund that amount and give $50 cheap cash after travel is completed. Has anyone ever done this and did Cheaptickets follow through with the refund?

Are there any perks booking directly with DLH?

Thanks for the help!

Here is what you have to watch out for:

  • Standalone hotel bookings only: Is today's date at least 2 days before the check-in date?
  • Are the trip dates the same?
  • Did you find the lower price on a website in English?
  • Is the lower price quoted in US dollars?
  • Is the room type the same?
  • Is the cancellation policy the same?

Check that the cancellation policy is the same....

Thanks! Everything is the same and they granted the refund based on those questions, I guess my main concern is that the refund doesn't occur until after the stay. I'm fine with it if they will really do it, but if they don't, I'm better off losing the $50 cheap cash and just going directly with the hotel.

Wow! I've never seen a cheap ticket rate that wasn't lower than what is offered on the Disney website especially after using the discount code. I currently have a reservation booked with cheap tickets where their own price dropped a couple days later. I have yet to stay but they have told me they will refund the difference. If I remember correctly the cheap cash has exclusions so read the fine print.

How long have the Disney discounts been active? If its recent, cheaptickets will usually end up adjusting their prices to match. Once they do that, you can apply the code and be good.

I know, I was surprised, too! I actually reserved with CT a few months ago and on a whim, decided to check with DLH yesterday when I heard about the Fall/Winter rate for stays before Dec. 22nd.

Mousesavers says the current promo is good until 11/16/16 and is good for stays between 10/23/16 – 12/22/16. So, I assume the Disney discount has been out for at least a few weeks. I'll keep checking back with CT to see if they adjust prices on their own, but for now, their standard room stay is $411 and DLH has it for $289.

I hadn't seen and $289's as part of the fall promo, thats why I was asking. I think they just started a new promo for early 2017, and I saw some $289's in there, so I assumed thats what you were looking at.

Well, now I am really confused! I can't seem to get the offer to re-populate on the DL website (it's showing the 411 price) but I still have the offer in my cart showing $289. Screenshot attached.

I would purchase now just in case you found a glitch. You can always cancel within the time period allowed.

Here is an issue, if Cheap Tickets can't get it to populate, they won't honor it.

I actually sent them a screenshot yesterday and they approved the price match, with the additional savings being refunded after my stay. I'm guessing they didn't even try themselves and just took my screenshot as proof.

I agree, if it's still in your cart, I'd try to purchase it now. Forget about the Cheaptickets aspect, cause at this late of a date, you probably aren't getting that rate plus 18% off. I've been digging for a couple months and haven't found anything that good. You'll have to pay a refundable deposit, but I don't think you are going to get a better deal with that. The problem is, rooms are selling out. What probably happened was someone cancelled a booking and it was at that rate and you just happened to see it. It's probably sold now, so when you try to check out, it'll probably say the deal is no longer available. I ran into a similar deal with the $344 price a few weeks ago, and just got lucky when it popped back up a couple days later.

WOW. I can't believe that. I'd do that in a heartbeat if cheaptickets wasn't sold out on my dates. lol

I went ahead and booked it. I will wait a little while before cancelling the CT reservations just in case something happens. The only thing I will miss out on (assuming they would honor the price match) is the $50 cheapcash they offered in addition to the PM but as someone said above, there are limitations with that and I don't even know if I'd use it. Thanks again for all of your help! This will be our first time being at Disneyland during the holidays so we are excited!

The website is definitely glitching. I just tried again and the 289 popped up. One difference is that it says Fall/Holiday offer and when it shows the $411 price, it just says Fall offer. Very bizarre!
