Cheapest way to buy a seasonal pass

I think I read in the past that the cheapest way to buy an annual pass was to purchase through UT and then upgrade. Is this the best option? If so what tickets(how many days) should I purchase through UT. Can all the tickets through UT be upgrades or only certain ones? Does anyone know the gate price for a seasonal pass?

The buy two get two pass with an expiry date at UT will not upgrade to give you a deal. If you get the buy two get one without an expiry, they will credit you three days towards the AP. The gate price of the seasonal pass is the same as the online price of the seasonal pass. It is just the multiday tickets that are $20 more expensive at the gate.
