For all you experts out there, which time of the year would you say is the very cheapest time to go. I know it's impossible to go cheaply, but which are cheaper, if any?

I would say go in the fall for free dining!

I don't know about the UK but here in the states the flights are even cheaper. If you stay off-site the hotels are cheaper, too. Crowds are less and the weather is nice as long as there isn't a hurricane!

It's my favorite time of year to go! So, why am I going this July anyway?:crazy2: Oh, ya, I'm hoping to see the shuttle launch!

For staying onsite best time for us to go is while free DDP is on at OKW/SSR, £100/night incl regular DDP for upto 4 people. Its as cheap as offsite in a 2/3 star low cost hotel and eating in lower cost places.
Offsite most times of year can pick up somewhere reasonable.
Flights anytime kids are at school. Jan, Mar, Sept, Nov, Early Oct, Early Dec seem to come up with best prices but deals/offers/errors can come up at anytime. Recently we paid Oct half term 08 paid £240, August 09 Biz class £470.

Thanks wayne! All being well I will be on maternity leave from August for a year, we are hoping to go at the beginning of 2011, and staying in a vill/condo.

The early months of the year are generally good value especially January, but would find the weather a bit cold personally.

If you can go late March, assuming Easter falls later in April, then that is a decent option and the weather is perfect.
September is an other obvious month, school holidays are over and parks are quiet, weather still very hot though.

January isn't any cheaper than September from experience, plus I found September quieter which surprised me as they have all the offers for September.

I would go January again however it is a worry with the weather over here, the snow shut down airports this year. The weather was cold the early part of January this year at Orlando too however I went mid January and it was lovely spring weather. The cold weather they had was unusual. The weather here effecting the flights would be a bigger concern than the weather in Orlando.

before i worked in a school we loved end of november, they have all the christmas decorations up & candlelight pro, osbourne lights are up & running (after thanksgiving) without the xmas crowds! we also did DCL early december - tree up in lobby, snow on castaway cay...sigh :cloud9:
