We booked our vacaction for Tuesday Nov 26 until Tuesday Dec 1 at Wilderness lodge. We have an 8 day park hopper with 7 night dining plan.

After looking at the seaworld clip for their christmas celebration, I had tears. I now know that we are really interested in going back to seaworld to see the christmas celebration that they have.

Last year we got a cab from mears transportation from CBR and went to seaworld. It cost about $75 for the 3 of us just for traveling and it took absolutely forever to get back to our resort.

So, our questions are these:

1. Is it cheaper to rent from alamo and go straight to seaworld with our rental car from the airport on Tuesday and then drop it off at the disney location that night?

2. Is it cheaper to get a shuttle to seaworld from the airport, have the shuttle drop us back off at the airport and then take the magical express to WL? Do they have free transportation to seaworld like disney does? And would disney be able to transport our luggage to our room?

3. Is it cheaper for us to just get a seaworld affliated hotel for Tuesday and Wednesday night and then start our disney vacay on Thursday. The hotels are running a package were you get the hotel room, the seaworld tix (and of course they are the two day ones) and free dining at seaworld! I think we calculated that we would save $300 just by doing this. But that would interupt the things we wanted to do at Disney. Truthfully, we would like to just go to seaworld for one full day and only lose out a day on Disney.

Need help for our cheapest route to Seaworld!!

Only you can say what will work best for your family. Try different scenarios....renting at MCO and driving to SW and then heading to WDW later than night. Or, staying for one night at a hotel close to SW.

I have taken the Lynx bus, from TTC, over to SW while staying at WDW. It was very easy to do. Take the bus from your resort to MK. Then take the monorail over to the TTC..starts at 7am. You can catch the Lynx bus (#50 I think) right there at TTC. You do need to tell the driver you wish to get off at the SW parking lot. Then, cross the parking lot and you're at the front gates. To head home, cross that lot again, cross the street (pretty easy to do), go left and you'll see the blue pawprint Lynx bus stop sign. Wait and the bus will come along. The cost is around $2 pp adult..probably a bit less, just can't remember right now. It was clean and just fine.
You can go to www.golynx.com and check it all out.

You have to crunch the numbers. My guess is renting a car at MCO for a couple of days, returning it to MCO then taking DME to WL might be the cheapest way to go. I wouldn't waste that much time. Price the rental car for your entire week. Probably won't be much more expensive then the alternatives and it will give you flexibility.

Staying at a SW area hotel gives you free quick queue, SWs equivalent to fast pass. Can you book a SW hotel for one night? Go to SW on your arrival day, go back to whatever you missed the second day then drive over to WL. Two night requirement? Finish whatever you need to at SW on Wed. Wed afternoon do whatever you want, water park, DTD, a theme park. Go back to your SW hotel, get your free breakfast the next morning the drive over to WL.

OK, this is gonna sound way OT, but stick with me.

I have stayed near Wet and Wild both trips to Orlando. Never hired a car and don't intend to either.

I have used Lynx (and yep, it is the 50) to get between Seaworld and DTD.

Costs not very much ($2 one way each) and runs either every 20 or 30 minutes.

OK, maybe not quite as easy as a car, but WAY less cost, less stress and of course the cost for three of ya both ways by bus is about the cost of parking at Seaworld.

Oh yeh, think of the environment too! :rotfl2:

CONSUMERMONKEY, I think that's what we might do. It hurts to think that if we stay at a seaworld hotel that we would not only get the buy one day get the 2nd free tickets, but also the quick queue service and also they have a promotion where you can get free dining and ALL YOU CAN EAT at the park!

only problem is:
Our vacay is from Tuesday to Tuesday and I just called Seaworld and they don't do the Christmas celebration there during the week at the time we are going so we would miss the one reason we are going back to seaworld. They only have it on Fri-Sun in November. So our best bet is to stick with our Wilderness Lodge room all week and do the #50 bus for a day.
