Looking for a cheap replacement for Nintendo DSi systems. DSS lost his DSi at a friends house and we really want to have one for the boys to play on the plane on the way to WDW and when they are at our house for visits. I have looked on ebay but even broken ones seem to be going as high as new ones. :confused3

Are there any deals out there or any places that have used ones in good condition at a decent discount? I'm also posting on the trade thread just in case anyone has one they are ready to trade.

Were there any Black Friday deals last year on DS systems or games?

I got 2 of them from ebay for about $100 each.

Game Stop sells used ones. It's hit or miss depending on what trade ins they get but you could give it a try.

craigslist or ebay and personally I'd get a DS... it will be cheaper and is only lacking the camera and it's a replacement. I just picked up a practically new one on craigslist for $65 for my DS who just turned 8.

I didn't realize that was the only difference. Good to know! I think the DS would work just fine. We just want something for playing games on the plane.

Call nintendo directly and explain what happened. I was allowed to purchase a DSLite (before DSi came out) from them for $90 (dd was paying for it herself). It was barebones, no stylus, no charger or manual but it beat the $140 regular price in store. My dd then traded that in to Gamestop for $70 when the DSi came out, so it worked out very well for her.

I would say Ebay. I recently bought another Wii after mine died and was able to get it for $100 in black which is a pretty good deal. I also bought a square trade warranty where they will replace it for up to a year:thumbsup2 You can find some really good deals on there just make sure you read the fine print and look at the sellers reputation.

We're going to get DD's from Game Stop. :thumbsup2

No way in heck are we getting her a new unused one! lol

CL- I found my DD's on CL last year for $50! It was in perfect condition owned by an adult who just wasn't interested in it. Good luck
