:confused3 We will be flying in on dec 7 and will only have one day to go over and look around disney-- maybe go to mk for awhile. What is the best transportation option. we will be staying that night at the Hyatt Airport. There will be two adults traveling. We would need to go to wdw and return to airport the same day. :sunny:

I bet your cheapest option would be to rent a car for one day. You are staying on airport, that should be very easy. Use orbitz or travelocity to book your car. L&M tends to be the cheapest and is onsite at the airport.

I think using any shuttles would cost about $90-100, and a lot of them have rules that they only deliver to WDW resorts, not MK itself.

I agree. You would want to rent a car. You should be able to do so for less than $35, especially for a small one. You don't need anything fancy, an economy should work fine.

Than you for the information. What is L and M? a car rental place?

However, www.orbitz.com had lower rates on the same car for L&M, than the L&M website did... the last time we went.

I would also try www.travelocity.com & www.expedia.com... you never know which one may have the lowest price.

You're right. It's worthwhile to check the big travel websites too. I know they charge a fee for airline tickets and hotels. What do they charge for a car rental? Also, are car rentals cancelable?

ETA: If you don't mind an uncancelable reseravtion www.priceline.com and www.hotwire.com can have some good rates. Check Bidding For Travel (www.biddingfortravel.com) and Better Bidding (http://www.betterbidding.com/) for hints on how to bid on Priceline.

There is no charge for a car rental. If there is any *hidden* cost it is buried in the cost of the car. Car rentals are cancelable up to almost the last minute, there is no charge made to your credit card.

The cheapest would be the LYNX public bus system. I think it is $1.50 per person each way with free transfers. It will take you from the airport to the downtown bus station where you change buses and go to the Transportation and ticket center in Disney. From there you can walk to the monorail and end up in Magic Kingdom. Total length of trip about 70 minutes or so.
