Cheapest disney trip :

Hi,

Yes you can trade the extra hopper days if you have any left on old cards. I just asked at the Animal Kingdom customer service counter and the girl said sure. She took all my old hoppers that I had 1 days or 2 days left on including my kids hoppers too and applied them to the annual passes and I just paid the difference.

That is a good way to save on the annual pass if you have any days left on your old hoppers.:)

Thank you for your response.

So, you can only apply days that you haven't used on your hopper to an Annual Pass? Sorry for the questions. I'm just really interested in upgrading to the Annual Pass.

Kurry,
As I understand it, upgrading your park hoppers to APs can work two ways.
  1. Upgrade within 7 days of the first use of the pass.
In this case, the full original value of the PH can be applied to the cost of the AP. However, the AP start date will be retroactive to the first day that the PH was used. If you choose this option and have a PHP with used pluses, you will only be permitted to upgrade to a PAP.
  2. More than seven days after first use, you may use remaining days on an old PH to apply to a new AP.
In this scenario, you can take an old PH from years ago and use the value of the remaining days towards the purchase of a new AP. The value of the PH is determined by what you paid for it divide by the number of remaining park days. Note that Disney assigns no value to plus options that remain. You will lose them if you have any. The start day for the AP begins the day that you purchase it.
