Our Sunday School is pondering a group trip to Orlando next year. Which hotel have you stayed at that was LOW COST (I hate to say cheap), but clean and somewhere you'd stay again? How much?

Most places give group rates for 10 rooms or more, but I don't think we'd need that many.

Free or continental breakfast would be a plus, but we could live without it if the price is right. Keeping it low cost is essential to making the trip work.

Can you help?

TIA,
Carolyn

Carolyn,
While this is not exactly what you asked for, I did want to share.
We rented a three bedroom villa via Holiday Villas. It was very very nice, had everything you could need and it cost us 99.00 per night. I realize it is a vacation, but, cooking in the unit will save a ton of money. I would stay there again. (We stayed there so we would not use expensive points at OKW). There are also large houses with pools out there for very reasonable costs.
As to hotels, there are so many out there, but we did use, long ago, the Comfort Inn at Lake Buena Vista (close to DD) and it was fine. Not swank, but, clean.

I'd contact Disney and see what they can do for you. Offsite you'll have a transportation issue to deal with. Some hotel (HIFS for example) exclude groups from FREE use of the shuttle buses. This is moot if you're busing the group down and can use your bus.

Check the EconoLodge Maingate Hawaiian on 192. We've stayed there a couple of times. No free breakfast but plenty of space, big pool and nicely maintained. Depending on season, rate may be under $40/nite.
