Ok.. this is probably are really dumb question, but we will be arriving in the late afternoon 6/4 and that's the only night during our stay that they will be having the fireworks at MK. We only bought 5 day PH's and now we would like to take the kiddies to the MK that night to see the fireworks. Does Disney offer discounted tickets after a certain time? We actually added another day after we bought the PH's so that's why I only got them for 5 days.

Thanks for your help!

No, they don't offer anything like this that I am aware of.

Not unless you're there as part of a convention that bought special half day tickets.

I wish this was offered at Disney. We are going to Dollywood this summer and they do have a ticket where if you come in later in the afternoon the next day is included! At Disney, you hate to waste a day's ticket for such a short time. Unless you have length of stay passes, most people do DTD or BW on these short days.

Or when you get there at your resort, you could upgrade your 5 day hoppers to 6 days and then go right on into the park...

The convention tickets may sound good but they are no bargain.

Example: The after 2:00 pm one park (no hopping!) ticket sells for $40 for an adult. That's only $13 less than the full day single park ticket. You make out slightly better if you can get the 2 day single park (one park per day) after 2:00 pm ticket for $67.

Thanks for your help. We are staying at the GF but there is just something about being in :) the MK on that first night to watch them. It just my best friend & I each taking our children. But thanks so much for your suggestions! We'll prob. just watch them from our hotel!

I bought a convention ticket in 1999 for Epcot, entry after 4:00pm and it was $25. I dont remember if they asked me for a proof I was an attendant of the convention. I bought it in the Dolphin Hotel. The problem is I am pretty sure these tickets were for Epcot or the Studios, not for MK or AK.

I believe the water parks offer a discounted late-day entry price. I'm thinking it's half price for entry after 4:00. This isn't much of a bargain though since they close at 6:00.

I suggest going to the roof of the Contemporary. You get a great view of the fireworks and they pipe the music in over the speakers outside. It's the next best thing to being in the park. We try to do this the first night of our trips. We have dinner at Chef Mickey's, ride the monorail roundtrip back to the COntemporary and then head out on the roof for the fireworks. It's a great night and you don't have to use a day on your passes.

I don't think you can go to the roof of the Contemporary anymore unless you are eating at California Grill. This has been discussed on other threads, and when we ate there in March I didn't see anyone doing this. Diana

I also agree with Figment, if you'd like to see the fireworks without going into the parks the Polynesian is the place to be. They even pump in the same music they have in the parks during the show. If you're lucky you might be able to find a hamock and relax after your day of travel while the kids play in the sand. I don't know where you're staying but this also gives you a chance to explore the Polynesian resort (my favorite) if you never done so before. I've heard great things about O'hana at the Polynesian if you're looking for a nice place for dinner that night too. Can you tell I'm going through trip planing withdrawl? - Mike

Do you have Lagoon view room facing MK at the GF? That would be a good place to watch from - also the dock over by Narcoosee's would be a good place as well from the GF.

Thanks

You are correct about the observation deck on the 15th floor now being limited to patrons of California Grill. But there is another observation deck on the 4th floor Grand Concourse level which is open to the public.
