So I just seen air fare watch dog list the prices' for GRR to MCo for $198. I paid $240. Can I get a refund?
Is the flight you actually booked less now or was it just a blast that said air is running at $198 now? There is a big difference. I am constantly getting e-mails from various websites (that I signed up for) saying air to MCO is now $XX, but when I look for actual flights, there isn't anything like that.
Not sure what Airtran will do, but make sure you're comparing fares for the same flight.
AirTran has twice given me a travel voucher for the difference in price. Very nice! I have a family of 6 flying in January on US Air, the round trip price just dropped $890 total!!! But they won't give me a travel voucher without paying the $150 change fee, which would be $900, so it would cost me $10 :-(. I'm going to call again an speak with a manager to see what they can do, but I'll just fly AirTran/Southwest going forward for this very reason. I did let the person on the call know to log my complaint and that I will no longer fly US Air because I this. Doubt it will do anything.
Anyone have any ideas or strategies to try and get a voucher???
Agree that US Air has it posted. Never hurts to try. But not all airlines follow this policy. I just got a $55 travel voucher from AirTran for a drop in price for a flight I have with them in December. As a friend told me she did the same with Southwest, which makes sense because they are merging. So I'll be flying those airlines in the future.
No ideas or strategies because it's simply not possible. When we choose airfare by price and purchase the least expensive, most restricted, nonrefundable fares, we agree to all the conditions associated with those fares. "I didn't know...", "Nobody told me...", "Do you know who I am?", "But all the other airlines are doing it!", etc., has no effect.AirTran has twice given me a travel voucher for the difference in price.
