So I just got and started using Bare Escentuals make up and I really like it but it is sooooo expensive. Are there any comparable but cheaper sources of makeup and brushes out there? I already spent $70 for just concealer and foundation. I'd like to get some eye makeup but not have to spend another $40-$50 for the makeup and brush.
Thanks!

I like Everyday Minerals.....and I like their brushes better too, they don't feel so scratchy on my skin. I always get their mix and match deal, it's
6 pieces/items for 34.00 or they have a kit that has 12 items you pick for 50.00. I get full size concealers and brushes...etc and then I just pay for eye shadow, a small size last FOREVER and it's really cheap. They have a free sample kit too, you can get a few items (3 foundations, a concealer and blush) in a sample size for FREE and all you pay is shipping.

They have a lot of different shades, and 4 different variations of the shades depending on how much coverage you want (Original Glo, Semi Matte, Matte and Intensive).

I have sensitive skin and I love the physcian formula line that you can buy at the drugstore. They even have an organic line of make-up out right now. I frequent walgreens and they usually have a sale ever month or so on the products. You may want to try them.

I also have switched to everyday minerals. The are just as good and the price is right. Also the free samples are actually really big samples and last a long time.

Hi ! I also got hooked on Bare Escentuals this past year and it is getting too expensive. Yesterday I was at my local Target (in PA) and they had Bare Escentuals 7-piece Everyday Eye Collection on the clearance from $49 to $24.50. I bought one for myself and one for a gift. It included a DVD and 3 brushes and 4 eyeshadows. Good Luck!!:):):)

I've been a faithful BE user for 3 years. I ran out of my foundation (not really, I was trying to apply it in the car and dumped it on the floor board)and I bought Wet 'n Wild Ultimate Minerals for 4.99 to tide me over until I can get more BE and it's not bad. I usually get mine at QVC and today and tomorrow they are having specials because it's an anniversary of BE on QVC. I could never go back, I love BE.

I have tried other minerals like L'Oreal (usually I like their product) but it makes my face dry and itchy. I purchase all my BE on Ebay for much less than retail.

Try www.jlynnecosmetics.com! I have found the quality, price, and variety of the make up to be better than bare essentials. They also have great sales all the time, you get free products every time you order and they have a birthday/referral program. I have been totally impressed.

Anyone ever try Pur Minerals? I use BE but am holding off on buying foundation and mineral veil because my daughter signed us up for a Pur minerals demo at Ulta at the end of the month. I'm wondering how they compare princess:

Many drugstore lines -- Neutrogena comes to mind - now have mineral lines. I am a fan of Philosophy The Supernatural. Although it costs about $35, it lasts a long time and is easier to apply, IMHO because the sponge is attached to the container. I have dropped my share of BE containers and it is so frustrating! And Target does sell the BE kits here in SE PA -- I've seen them too.

Ooooh! I haven't seen that before lol I love Philosophy products  It has the same kind of applicator top as my BE RareMinerals. It is easy to apply with that built on sponge.

Where can you purchase Everyday Minerals? I like the Mary Kay mineral foundation but I don't care for the application brush--everytime I use it, bristles end up on my face and clothing. I suppose I could find a different brush, but am willing to try a new foundation product as well.

I have three that I really like:

Everyday Minerals (least expensive and great samples)
Silk Naturals (made with silk powder and colors are soft, great lippies)
Adorned with Grace (new company, owner is super sweet!)

Everyday Minerals has colors for most people, Adorned with Grace is geared toward people with more olive, golden, or yellow tones (except it works for me too).
