Cheap way to use unexpiring tickets?

As a non-US resident, and someone who doesn't even have any nearby Disney stores, is there any way I can find out how many days I have left on the collection of unexpiring WDW tickets amassed by my late DH and I? My suspicion is that there's enough value in them to maybe buy one adult AP, but how can I find out without going there first?

Unfortunately, you cannot combine tickets to "purchase" an AP. In addition, if you had wanted to UPGRADE one of those no-expiry tickets to an AP, it would have had to have been done within 14 days of the first day that the ticket had been used and the AP would have had an anniversary date that was one full year from that date of initial use.

However, the PP was correct that you can email ticketing to find out how many days remain on each ticket.

Given that the original bearer of some of the tickets is now deceased, Disney may convert those tickets so that the remaining entitlements can be used by someone else, but each ticket would retain the number of days. There would not be a way to "combine" all of the remaining days on a single ticket. This conversion would have to be done in person, at a ticket window or guest services location in one of the parks or Disney Springs.

When it wouldn't let me book another day I knew how many days were on each ticket. I immediately cancelled those fast passes. I brought in some tickets to be checked and they took my non expiry ticket and turned it into a new ticket. I'm actually wondering if when we go to use this ticket if it will be upgradeable in its new form.

Thanks. I've had that one day hanging around for quite a few years. When this question came up the thought popped into my head that it might work like a 'new' ticket, since it now 'looks' like a new ticket.

Jumping in again. I converted my paper tickets to plastic and during the process was told by the CM that they cannot tie a specific person to a paper ticket. Was told the same thing by a CM at the MK in May of 2015. If your tickets are paper it will be a lot easier for you. Go to My Disney Experience and register them to you then do what I suggested in a previous post regarding FP's.

Every other company and government body I have dealt with has re-imbursed me *in cash or cheque* for the entire pro-rated value of any unexpired tickets, memberships, etc. that belonged to my late husband, after receiving a death certificate. Disney doesn't? They insist you take it in kind?

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. They're making an exception to the non-transferable restriction in the event of death. Otherwise, a partially used ticket has zero value, so how much of a reimbursement would you expect?

Since this is an exception, as I said earlier, I would expect the pro-rated cashvalue of the tickets, not re-imbursement in kind.

Ticket prices are front-loaded. Any days beyond 5 cost $10 each. There's not a lot of "cashvalue" on leftover tickets. Regardless, partially used tickets have no cash value, only admission rights.
