Cheap tickets.com - Any info?

I found a good rate at cheaptickets.com but I have never used one of these sites to buy tickets. Does anyone have info. about this company? Are they reputable, what if your plans change etc. Or should I just spend the extra $75 and book directly through the airline? Thanks

I used them last year and had no problems. We didn't need to make any changes, though. I was kind of nervous using them too, but it worked out fine.

I have used CheapTickets several times in the past and never had any trouble with them. The last few years though, I have been able to find cheaper flights on the airlines websites myself.

I have used cheaptickets.com too. No problems at all.

One thing I would suggest - this year, I looked at expedia, travelocity, cheaptickets, etc. for my flights. They all had similar prices ($180 each, approximately) for a Delta flight. Then I went to Delta's website and bought the exact same tickets for $175 each. Not much savings, just 10 bucks total, but every little bit helps.

If it matters to you check and see: if you'll get ff miles, if you'll get any type of credit if the fare is reduced and what the policy is if you need to change your flights.

Cheaptickets sometimes sell consolidator fares which have different rules.

We tried to book on CheapTickets a couple weeks ago for our New Years trip. The flight was $100 less per ticket than what was on the Spirit website. To make a long story short, the transaction was hung-up for about 1.5 hours. We called CheapTickets and they blamed Spirit. We then called Spirit and they blamed CheapTickets. CheapTickets would not give us the cheaper flight so we ended-up booking directly with Spirit. CheapTickets then promised that our credit card would not be charged. In this week's mail on our credit card bill -- there is the CheapTicket charge. They have promised to reverse next billing cycle. I am not too impressed with them. If they can't guarantee a flight price, who list it?
