coming in late our first night and we dont want to pay for a disney hotel when we will only be ther for 10 hours. we will move over to our disney hotel the next morning. Im seeing on priceline some hotels in the area are about $30. Im not too picky I just wanna be clean and safe. Safe being #1. Does any one have any suggestions? TIA:goodvibes!!!

We did the same thing and stayed at the EconoLodge in Kissimmee. They're currently are offering coupon for 29.95 a night. The beds were comfortable and room was clean and it is in a nice area. Very nice place for the price.

Are you driving in or flying? If you are flying and won't be renting a car, you may still want to try and get a room at a Disney resort simply for the Magical Express benefit and the luggage transfer service between Disney hotels. This is what we are doing when we go in December. Since we were flying in late, I considered just getting a cheaper hotel off site and then going to our hotel (Boardwalk) the next day, but when you factor in the other perks it made more sense for us to get a room at a value resort for that first night.

But ignore this response if you are driving or flying and renting a car since transportation wouldn't be an issue for you.

If you are flying in you can often get the MCO Hyatt for $60 through either Priceline or Hotwire (can't remember which) Do a search on here and you will find all the details.

Aside from that, the Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista is a good choice and they often have rooms for $49 through Travelzoo.com

Also be advise that there are quite a few hotels that charge a daily resort fee of anywhere from $8-$20.

Thank you all! We are driving in. Im gonna look those up. My main concern is safety. Im so afraid to get a $30 hotel and show up in a sleezy part of town.

Look for a hotel in Lake Buena Vista. You will be very close to Disney World, and it is a nice, safe area. Or depending on how cheap you want to be, look at the Downtown Disney resorts.

I agree with PP...look in the Lake Buena Vista area. There are several places on Palm Pkwy that will be safe and clean. You can often find great prices on these places.

We always look for a Hampton Inn. I would also think Holiday Inn Express would be great. Prob both more than 30. but I want it to be CLEAN . And at HInn free breakfast.:)

Just booked this place how was it?? How close is it to DTD?? got a family suite for 70  Hope I made the right choice!! did I?? LOL

I got the Orlando Vista on Hotwire for pretty cheap last year (like $42 w/ tax and fees). It's right outside DTD. It was clean and fine for one night. If you go on betterbidding.com, you can see the amenities to help you pick it out on Hotwire.
