When you get fed up with Dollar Express you could give Hertz #1 Gold a try. It costs to join (I have no idea because I have it through my employer). At most "Gold rental locations" you just see you name on a board, walk to the car and present your drivers license on the way out of the car park. Sanford isn't that clever - but I was the only renter so the formalities took minutes to complete.
I expect MCO is a gold location.

This is a total revelation compared with the regular rental line at PDX, where I do most of my renting. It always took ages to collect the car. This appeared to be independent of the number of members of staff or the number of renters in front.

Its a free service, my Brother always uses Hertz. To get to gold status you have to rent 3 or more times a year.
I always find their rates too much like for our next trip 25 nights in August Hertz full size £531 when I can get same size car with Budget for £371.
Dollar express is great never had more than 1 renter in front of me but Budget is looking best option for August, aspecially as we can do one way rental to the port.

That's good - when I joined it cost real money. I'm also fortunate that I can take advantage of my employers CDP rate and generally get a good price.
I'll still shop around though and have the Dollar express card just in case.

Sounds very good value to me and like you say it gives you ages to save for it and what a lovely thing to look forward to
We've never stayed on-site as with two small children we like a villa or condo to stretch out in when girls go to bed......but it's horses for courses and the value resorts do have fun theming which I bet my girls would love given half the chance!
I have a Dollar express card and it saved me ages last October - no queue! Any time saved is great when you have little ones after that long flight....

The only thing we enjoyed about ASM was the oversized characters but it took us about 30-45 mins to go around them all. Better staying your villa/condo and going in and looking around sometime if you like the extra space.
