Cheap numbers to call US?

Hi everyone - not long now. Quick question - my mum who is in her 70s will often ring us at our hotel while we are away. Could anyo e give me step by step instructions to use some of the discount phone numbers that I have read about on here?

She finds things like this tricky but think she might give it a go! How much does it bring the rate down to?

I have used discountdial a number of times. Calls to mainland USA is 0.5p per min with a connection fee of 12.5p.

To use the service you look up the country you wish to call, for usa this is

0844 200 90 90

listen to the message which instrcuts you to dial the number you want to use, and I think you follow the number with a #.

simple as that

Thats helpful, I didn't realise until I looked up the details there was a connection charge. I have also used Telediscount without any porblems

If its a lengthy call, ie doing 10x ADR's, then paying 12.5p connection then 0.5p will work out cheaper.
