I was wondering if anyone can recommend any cheap hotels in or near Orlando?? We are going November 4-14 and were suppose to stay with my sister but some things have happened and that is no longer possible for us to stay with her..So now I have to come up with money for a hotel and this is already a very TIGHT budget trip...I don't think I can cancel our airfare without being out that money so this is the next option..if anyone knows of anything please let me know..thanks

Orlando is great for finding hotels at very cheap prices,I've stayed at very nice hotels for $30-$50,as long as you're not going during peak times you can find them at these prices, even during peak times they're still pretty affordable.International Drive has a lot of good deals.

I've had good luck finding cheap hotels on Orbitz. I plugged in your dates and they had the Goldstar Inn and Suites for $21.73 a night. I don't know anything about it but the reviews don't look too bad. There seems to be a daily resort fee according to the reviews. Sometimes you can find Orbitz coupons to enter online and get more$$ off your total. Just google orbitz codes. Also, travelzoo.com has good Orlando hotel specials too. Will you be renting a car? Good luck!

We hadn't planned on renting a car since we were going to be staying with my sister but now I'm thinking that is something else we need to consider..We just need to find a place to stay while we're down there since all the plans have changed all of a sudden..TIA

We always have good luck using Hotwire. We have stayed at hotels on 192 and in the Lake Buena Vista area for less than $35/night. They have all been decent places (Radisson Resort Celebration, Extended Stay Deluxe LBV, Best Western Lakeside, Howard Johnson Main Gate)- none that I wouldn't stay at again.

I use betterbidding.com to check which hotels are coming up on Hotwire- I go by area, star rating, and amenities listed. I have always gotten the hotels I guessed would come up using this site.

There is a little risk involved- once you book, there are no refunds- and you won't know for sure which exact hotel you won until you book. But, like I said, I have always had good results using Hotwire.

We have stayed at the county inn and suites downtown disney (I have not tried the others in the area and haven't heard good things about the one near universal). It really is only 2 miles from DTD but for some reason my gps goes nuts and won't find the address to the hotel and we got lost the first time. Use the address to the sizzler and it finds it just fine (they are in the same parking lot)

The pool is nothing special and the parking lot is small but the hotel is clean, safe and it's free breakfast. We found a better rate on their website vs. calling the front desk and asking for the best rate. The best they could don on the phone was $82 a night but we got $55 a night on the website but that was a fl or ga resident rate (we qualify for both)

If you don't have a specific hotel you want and just want something cheap and a place to sleep I would try the discount sites. We specifically wanted CI&S so we booked through them. We wanted close to the parks and free breakfast.

I just need something cheap because my mother is staying with my sister in nearby Ococee and this really wasn't suppose to be part of the funds..Maybe I should try looking in the city of Ococee instead

Bidding on Pricleine, I've stayed at the Best Western Lake View (super close to Disney and with a shuttle) for less than $35 a night. I though it was very nice.
