if you are renting a car or will take a cab/Uber you can go to the Speedway gas station near the Boardwalk where you can get a 24 pack of bottled water for around $5, for comparison 1 bottle of water in the parks is the same price.

How much does that round trip Uber fare add to the cost of a case of water? It may not make sense to pay for transportation just to buy water, which, by the way, is $3.00 in the parks for a 20 oz. bottle, not $5.00

If you are staying onsite, you can buy a case of water in the resort gift shop for something like $7 or $8, save yourself the hassle of the uber ride or buying ahead of time and still save a ton of money, even if it is not the most rock bottom price.

Not to rain on your parade or anything, but you do realize that you can walk up to any QS place in any park and they'll give you filtered ice water for the bargain price of $0.00, right?

I wonder if it is always filtered. At Disneyland I thought I saw them use water from a sink at one location, not the machine and it didn't taste so great but maybe I am remembering things wrong. Also, sometimes there are long lines and they seem too long when all you want is water. That said, I never buy plain water and will drink the Disney counter service stuff if I am thirsty and don't have anything else regardless of where it came from, or just go to a fountain.

Have they reopened? I was there in November and they had closed for remodeling.

And, yes it's a great idea to buy a case of water, but even with a case in my room and a case in my vehicle, I still paid the $3 because I was thirsty and hot and I didn't want to wait in line at counter service. Sometimes its the best $3 of the trip!

But I totally agree buying a case is a money saver over all!

I've never been to DL, so I can't speak for them. Everything I've gotten from WDW seems filtered...it always has zero "taste" to it and is crystal clear.

No reason to stand in line and wait at counter service. Just go up to where you pick up the food and ask a CM there. Many QS places already have them pre-made, especially in summer, so they literally just reach to the counter and grab as many as you need...takes 5 seconds.

We usually Uber to the closest Walmart/Target on our arrival day to stock up on breakfast foods, snacks, alcohol, water, and anything else we might need (sunscreen, hairspray if we don't check a bag....) It works out to save us money. We've been to that gas station before too, but we usually walk to it

I will say, that free water tastes like it was scooped out of the lake, ha! BUT Starbucks will give you free triple filtered water, but you'll have to stand in line. I won't go anymore without bringing my own bottled water from the gas station or from home. Even if I only keep it in the room for park breaks.

From what I've seen, they always fill the waters out of the water spout on the soda machines. Since it never tastes as awful as what comes out of the sink at the resort, or the water fountains in the park, I assume that the soda machines filter it.

Many CS locations have water on the counter already in cups, or you can just walk up to the food pick up area and ask for it without having to actually wait in the line.

It’s always tasted filtered to me too. Maybe rogue CMs have been spotted taking it out of the tap on occasion, but definitely not something I’ll lose sleep over (I’m also not a water snob anyway...I’m a coffee snob).
