I WAS HOPING SOMEONE COULD HELP ME.WE GO TO FLORIDA EVERY YEAR SOME TIMES TWICE A YEAR AND ALWAYS FLY.THERE ARE 5 OF US.THE KIDS ARE 9,3,1.MY WIFE WANTS TO DRIVE THIS YEAR,SHE DOES NOT WANT TO SPEND ALOT OF MONEY ON THE FLIGHTS AND RENTAL CAR.I WAS WOUNDER ING IF SOMEONE COULD ADVISE OF ANY CHEAP FLIGHTS AND RENTAL CARS.WE ARE GOING IN AUGUST,15-26.WE ARE HEADING TO NAPLES THEN WDW.WE WOULD NEED A FLIGHT FROM NEW YORK TO FT MYERS THEN ORLANDO BACK TO NEW YORK.

I would suggest flying to Orlando and then driving to Naples. It is about 3.5 hours each way.

I will tell you clearly that you cannot fly between Orlando and Ft. Myers/Bradenton. My mother was visiting me and wanted to also visit her sister in Ft Myers. I checked just about everything possible and only found such routing as changing planes in BOTH Miami and Tampa, or having to go up to Newark to change planes and prices were ridiculous. I even called the Orlando Airport Management office and they did some research and found there were no direct flights between the two cities.

I suggest you look at Spirit Airlines, I (just a couple of weeks ago) flew from here to LGA in Spirit Plus (First Class) for about $230 for the Round Trip including all taxes. I could have gone Coach for about $120.
