Cheap Fares After Dec. 14?

My family and I love to go the week before x-mas, but the cheap fares only last until Dec. 14 at the very latest. I found $198 round trip to mco from all the across the country! Yet, unfortunately thats a little to early for us. Can you tell me where to look for cheap flights for dates after the 14 of December? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch ~*Jen*~

Without a little more info (like what dates/date range would you consider, and the airport(s) you could fly out of), it's hard to give more than general advice.

If you haven't already, subscribe to one of the "fare alert" email systems. I use Travelocity.

Check your preferred dates frequently - at least every other day. For this, I like www.itasoftware.com or www.orbitz.com

If you have a preferred airline, check that site frequently as well.

It may be difficult to find a low fare if you will be traveling (either way) 12/21 - 12/24.

Sometimes it just pays to wait a bit. We checked airfares about 1 week ago for air from Lincoln, NE or Omaha, NE. Lincoln was over $300 and omaha about $80 less. The prices have been on the rise for several weeks. Thursday I checked and the fare was $118!! From both airports. Needless to say we booked. This is 60 days out from our travel dates but these rates were also good for October. So I guess keep checking. I found these on Travelocity or AOL travel. I too have signed up for the farewatcher updates from Travelocity and this works out well also but I still check about every 3-4 days to just see.

Waiting patiently and checking daily for reasonable tickets from BWI and SEA to MCO.

Thanks for the info, I think I'll try "fare alert" on travelocity. I found $198.00 round trip from Spokane Wa. to Orlando but you have to take your trip before Dec. 14.. Thanks again!!
