Cheap Beach Cart

I live in OH so no beach stores around me....Does anyone know of a website to buy a beach cart and get a good deal? or have any ideas to make one for cheap?

I go to the beach almost every year and stay ocean front but it's still a pain lugging everything down to the beach. I googled and looked at some sites but it's hard to decide when I've never seen one.

I need it to be easy to fold and be compact.
Easy to get through the sand
and hold at least 2 beach chairs, small cooler, boogie boards, beach toys, towels.

Whats an easy way to get everything back and forth to the beach?
Thanks

the problem with those store bought carts is the wheels are too small and dont work well over sand. I use my son's radio flyer red wagon to haul things on the beach. I've also seen on the internet some home made carts with the big dune buggy wheels that work great over sand.

I have this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Rio-Beach-Won...SCB4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1297271748&sr=8-1

Only difference is my rear wheels are slightly thinner. You can fit a ton into it.

I also use the cart all throughout the year at soccer tournaments when we have chairs, coolers, gear, etc.

I got this exact same one for Christmas and mine does have the extra wide wheels. I thought it would be better for trudging through the sand. I live in Indiana, so I haven't got to use it yet, but I'm moving to Florida this spring, and I plan on making good use of it. :)

Would you mind to please post a link? I would love to see what a homemade cart looks like! TIA :goodvibes

thanks for the replies.

A wagon wouldn't work for me because it would be hard to fit in the car. It's hard to fit everything for the trip as is but thanks that would be great.

I checked out the links, I have a few questions for anyone who has bought one of these:

did you have a hard time going through the sand?

did it hold up well?

how compact was it when you fold it up and was it easy to do?

I'd like to see pictures of a homemade one also!

If we have it fully loaded (cooler, chairs, boogie boards, beach bag, etc.), it is hard to pull through the soft sand, but I can do it by myself. It is much, much easier on the hard sand (of course) or if we don't have a packed cooler. Even so, it is still better than hauling everything.

We have had ours for a couple of years and have used it almost every weekend from late February to early November. It is still doing great.

It folds up to be about the size of a larger stroller (not a double or triple stroller, but not an umbrella stroller). Folded up, it is about the size of the Graco stroller I had that the infant seat snapped into.
