Airfare from Philadelphia to Orlando has been on sale the past two days with prices ranging from $99 - $149 r/t including tax! I've seen dates in December and January.

This is when being a DVC member is dangerous. I started tinkering around with airfare and found flights for my birthday weekend VERY reasonable. We are going to fly down on a Saturday, spend my actual birthday (that Sunday) at EPCOT, and fly home late Monday night. I can't think of a better way to celebrate!

Now that we secured cheap flights and a room at AKV, the next step is dining reservations. I'm trying to figure out where in EPCOT is ideal for a birthday dinner. Decisions, decisions!

Great deal and happy birthday we are there now and our favorite in EPCOT is Canada. Just for the soup and pretzel bread alone.

We were just in Orlando in September.. said we wouldn't go back until Christmas of 2013. I saw cheap airfare for my birthday and said "Can we PLEASE go!!!" Airfare has been ridiculous lately and this was too good of an offer to pass up.

I'm thinking about leaving EPCOT and walking to Yachtsman Steakhouse for my bday dinner. Anyone have thoughts/suggestions about that?

You guys are so lucky...we just got back home the beginning of October...I watched fares for almost a year (mostly ranged between $800-1000) finally managed to get tickets for $690 in August....if I could find fares under $300 we'd have to fly back!

We did a quick weekend in September, got airfare out of Philadelphia for $500.00,(three of us) stayed at OKW (36 points). Where else can you go for a weekend for $500.00?

We also went to the Top of the World and had drinks and appetizers for our dinner one night. Quickly reservations at Rose and Crown to watch Illuminations. Walked into Liberty Tree for Lunch.

The weekend went to quickly, but my daughter got her Mickey Bar. That was the real reason for the trip!

Have you every tried Shula's (Steak House)or II Mulino (Italian) at the Swan and Dolphin? They are both very good. You can also walk to them.

Yo Philly,
Absolutely go for it on the Yachtsman birthday dinner and may I suggest the 24oz. Porterhouse cooked medium. It will be your fullest b-day ever.

My wife and I just got Southwest r/t to San Diego for $308.00 total! Couldn't pass up the Grandkids for that price.

Thanks for the advice. I definitely think that's the route I'm headed.

Great choice for a b-day dinner!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I had one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life at that Yachtsman. It was an appetizer, so sadly it's gone  - Soft shell crab served on cornbread drizzled with butter and topped with crumbled crispy bacon. :faint:

I dream about that crab :scratchin
