hmm, will this whole idea of cooking, eating at home has done some good.. Somewhere I lost 5 pounds, not sure where it went but hey if it's wants to stay lost.. I'm not weeping over it ;)

Whew! It's Wednesday night, and tomorrow we go on (our brief) vacation, WOOHOO!!! :woohoo:

Since this is our only trip until our DL trip in December, I've been so looking forward to this. To make it even more exciting, Seattle is going to be having a heatwave while we're gone. Not only does this mean we'll skip the heatwave (and requisite whining), but the temps at the beach will be that much warmer. Yeah! It's gonna be in the 70s! :yay:

Hi!! Another famous drive by!!

Kaitlyn starts school tomorrow.

Family from Holland arrived today, which was a surprise! Thought they weren't going to get here until Friday or Saturday!! Now what? I tell you what!! They will he helping me get ready for the reunion. Actually, they are very nice, and have already offered to help. :goodvibes Their kids are living in the pool, so that is nice for them too. They had spent time in Yosemite, and had driven in from there.

Tomorrow is: finish painting, wash windows, make dessert, and plant some stuff. All this before it gets too hot. HA HA!

Have I mentioned that I'm tired?

:rotfl:

Oh and swiftly breezing by your posts, I saw adorable pics of Jake and Morgan.

A wanted picture of Gina's son. :lmao:

Saw that Pix was feeling better again.

Alex, had a nice time with her sis.

Dizzys is elated that her old co worker has seen her last day.

Jake has new cup, and likes to beat Super Heroes against it.

Benice has a gory story. Yikes Bernice!! You must be used to all of this blood stuff.

Christina has new brows.

Sam..........Where art thou??

Megan...............Where art thou?

Ok I'm so excited. I just switched my resort back to POP Century and saved even more. A great code came out this morning and even though I had to purchase 1 day tickets we still saved a significant chunk of money and moved back to the resort of our choice. Unfortunately the code is just for packages so no switching hotels but dh and I decided that we've been lucky enough to stay almost everywhere so we dont need to do that now. Just enjoy the savings and spend the money elsewhere.

YEAH I"M BACK AT POP!

Thanks to Alison for the discounts at As Sports though. They were great.

Good Morning Ladies! Sorry I've been MIA. It has been a very busy week with my sister and nephews here. Yesterday I picked up my nephew and his 3 month old baby at the airport. Forgot how much fun it was to hold a newborn. What a sweetie pie!:lovestruc But it does make me feel old, since I'm now a Great Aunt!!

So I have a houseful and trying to work and take care of everything. At the moment I am unable to post on this public forum what is going on with the custody battle. I know that it would probably be ok, but you never know who would be reading. But I do have some news and I'm really want to tell everyone, so if you want to know please let me know and I will PM you.:thumbsup2

that is where DH always likes to stay...he has this thing with pop.....Good For You.....do the kids know yet?

I was working earlier on DS work list....I have decided...while his intentions were good...the sneak part was not...so..we are going to have a mother son moment...we shall bond together....

I will talk and watch while he cleans the garage, shed, carpets upstairs as well as the stairs....and when we close down the pool, he has to be the go fetch it boy...and the one in the cold water to lift the stairs out...he has been instructed to say, here let me help you...and not mention that I have told him to do it...and when DH says, why is he suddenly doing all this, he has to answer, because I just wanted to do something nice....

Garage is to be cleaned, swept, hosed...door inside and out,,,all spider webs must be removed and insects evicted...

bikes must be clean, and on hooks

all equipment must be cleaned off and properly put in its place of my choice..

upstairs carpet will be cleaned 2 x's....(if I do it that way he will to)...base boards will also be cleaned...

stairs shall be cleaned ... pictures hanging of children..will all be taken down and put back up clean..

Shed...I shall be able to walk in it without banging my legs and ankles...all garbage shall be removed...pool floats shall be deflated, wiped off and placed in pool bin....

and anything I find amusing shall be added without complaint...

If you complain, all jobs start over...

Mgmt. reserves the right to change, add or modify any of the jobs listed above because I can and or for my amusement.....:lmao: :lmao:

that is the letter given to him.....

I've heard great things about POP. We've never been. It wasn't open when we moved back but both my CM friends and just friends who have gone have stayed at POP and have all loved it. Yes noisy but I really dont go to WDW to relax anyway. The only other place I've never stayed at is AKL but this does not appeal to DH at all. I brought it up and he looked at me like I had just pooped in the living room. He is NOT an animal person at all. I think it might be cool. I had 2 friends stay there though with savannah view rooms and neither of them saw animals. One even complained.

:lmao: I can just see that. Ummmm excuse me MR Giraffe. Mr. and Mrs. Jones would like more interaction down in room 2156 so if you could kindly move down there between 7and 7:15am each morning. Do it or else you'll see a pink slip on your desk in the morning. :lmao:

Good morning, hyenas!
I'm here ever so briefly. (I'm supposed to be packing, since today is the first day of our vacation!) :yay:

DH just ran out for coffee, DS7 is watching Super Y, DS4 is running around in a one piece, winter PJs and a cape (don't ask, but yes, this is normal for him...), jumping off the stairwell and shouting, "I'm Super[his nickname], here to save the day!" :lmao:

Hope all is well, I'm hoping to get a PM from Sam before I need to scoot, and I hope you all have a great weekend!

Where is she going?

this question was assuming she doesnt look here again and that was truly a drive by post! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: which they never ARE!

The Pop is a fun hotel. I love looking at all the retro games and toys in the lobby.:thumbsup2 I didn't really find it all that noisy, although I'm sure if your room is near one of the pool sides it would be a bit noisy. We were facing the parking lot and found it to be very quiet.

Please eat a piece of tie-dye cheesecake for me!:thumbsup2

Ya know I'm not a fan of cheesecake at all but I've hear so much about the ins and OUTS of this cheese cake that I'll do it for YOU! :thumbsup2

I've had this cheesy smile all morning. Like I just realized in a month and a half I'll be at WDW for 2 weeks baby!

OK, I typed it up, pasted & copied and PM'd you 3. If I'm not here later on and you want to forward it on to any of the other Hyena's, please feel free to. I'm probably getting a bit paranoid, but you can see the need for confidentiality for a few days.

It looks like they have a lot of crazy activities to do as well if we are ever just at the hotel. I'm so excited it was actually on the discount because so many times people have to switch away from POP because its full. I guess that is what getting up at 4am gets me! :thumbsup2

The kids are more excited too because they liked the pictures of POP better than Sports. Even Jake did which I thought was funny.

:thumbsup2 I would do the same too.

I like pop, I just get tired of it....I like to change things up a bit from time to time. DH is a creature of habit...hates change......but, pop is cool

Where is she going?

this question was assuming she doesnt look here again and that was truly a drive by post! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: which they never ARE!
Who, me? :teeth:

We're going to the ocean! :woohoo:

We used to go every summer, but haven't been the last two or three years. The timing of this trip worked out so well because of that, and because:

1. DS7 had wanted to go to DL on his birthday, but didn't want to deal with heat or crowds (neither did we!) So I planned so we'd to to the ocean on his birthday!

2. Since our DL trip isn't until Dec., I really wanted us to do something this summer while the kids had time off. This short, local trip is a great solution, and the kids will be happy just to dig in the sand, walk on the beach, whatever for 3 days. We also find it very relaxing... or as much as one can with two young children anyway.

3. My neighbor friend and her family have been at the same location this past week. They're in a condo, so she invited us over to their place tomorrow night for dinner. She's going to bake a cake for DS! The kids are BEYOND EXCITED to actually have other kids they know that they can play with there!!! :rotfl:

4. We planned the trip so that DH would only be taking 2 days off work. Then it looked like he might be taking a business trip this week, and I was ticked. The business trip didn't happen, but then it looked like another work issue might mean DH would have to work today and part of tomorrow, so we'd have to drive there separately. Fortunately that didn't turn out to be the case either. (DH worked late last night.)

So we're all going, together, and we get 4 days in the sun and sand, WOOHOO!!!! :woohoo:

OK, well maybe not the sun. It's a tad chilly at the beach, plus while there will be a sweltering heatwave in Seattle, it will be cloudy off and on at the coast. But no matter, it will be a blast anyway!

Actually it's not that good of cheesecake, but it looks really cool with all the tie dye swirly colors in it.

That is so awesome!! I still am not sure if I'm going or not. Guess I'll decide the week before!:lmao:

Have fun at the beach! Glad everything worked out for the trip. We are thinking of going down Labor Day weekend, just haven't decided yet. We have the lot down there, so no need to make reservations. We haven't gone camping or anywhere all summer long. DH's school has sort of thrown a damper on summer stuff...there's no way he can take even a day off. I'll be very glad when he's done in a couple of weeks.
