Good Evenine Hyenas,

Yesterday my bf and I drove all the way down to Disneyland. At the last second instead of exiting at Disneyland Dr, I kept going. We decided to make a spur of the moment trip down to San Diego. I called my sister and asked her if I was okay to go to her house and she said okay. I know, crazy! :rotfl: The traffic was horrible-lots of stop and go traffic but no accidents. :sad2:

We had dinner at a BBQ place that my sister took us to. It wasn't bad but the wait time for our food was really slow. Apparently the restaraunt was a very popular and busy spot in SD. When we left the line was out the door and around the corner. :scared1: Then we went to Seaport Village (my favorite place in SD) and went to Crazy Shirts. I wanted a shirt I had seen in their catalog but they didn't have it. :( I did buy a cool Quiksilver shirt in another shop there.

We went to Ralph's to get some drinks and snacks and headed back to my sister's house. We just hung out and watched the olympics on TV. We saw Michael Phelps win a gold medal in the men's swimming competition. I fell asleep on her couch but then woke up about an hour later. I really wanted to head home. At first we were planning to stay the night but we ended up heading home. I wasn't sleepy and we actually made it home in less than 2hrs. We only had traffic on one area of the 5fwy due to construction. They had shut down the 3 right lanes and were having everyone merge into a single lane. It was awful and lots of gutter drivers trying to merge at the last second. :headache:

My bf and I each showered when we got home and then went to sleep. We woke up late this afternoon (close to 12pm) and then drove to a bakery I had heard about. It's called Kiki's Bakery and it's named after the cat in Kiki's Delivery Service. :) It was really far but they had so many different kinds of bread. We ate a late dim sum lunch at a place next door and then headed back home. We were still sleepy so we ended up taking a nap. I woke up around 8pm and felt hungry so I just heated up our leftovers from lunch. My bf is still snoring away. I'm also watching the olympics. This one tiny girl for the China team was on the bars. She swung from the high bar to the low bar but was too close and ended up losing her grip and falling. I felt so bad for her but she got right back up and finished the routine. It was sad to see how disappointed she looked and I think she was crying a little. One of the coaches hugged her and her team mates all told her it was okay and good job. :flower3:

Good morning, hyenas!
Weather's iffy today; it rained last night, we had a brief sunbreak this morning, and now it's just overcast. :confused3

Sam, I always loved going to the fair. I love the sound of that Irish Sundae, I love baked potaoes with "the works"!

I grew up about a 20-min. drive from the fairgrounds for th Western Washington State Fair (Puyallup), and we used to go every year. In fact, we used to get a "Fair" day off school in early Sept. and a free ticket to the fair, though I'm not sure they do that anymore.

Do you guys do the Puyallup? I've never done the Clark County one, but it sounds right up my alley. I love the crafts and food and technical exhibits, and of course the rides! Not so much the smelly animals, but that does seem to be what DH gravitates to for some reason. I bet the boys would love that, too. :rotfl:

We've only been to the Monroe Fair once together. DH's family used to go to that one when he was little. It's much smaller than the Puyallup, and more like the old time country fair, with animal races, kids trying to catch a greased pig and so on.

I think I'll try to take the kids to the Puyallup this year, we have never taken them to a fair! I love the scones and strawberry jam, the "fort" where they have musical performances, and love to have an old time photo taken.

We do the Puyallup whenever we can. The kids dont get a day off for it, but they do get tickets. The scones make me gag though.. :scared: I think they taste like nasty little dry biscuits. I think the last time we went was when Mikalah was a baby. Wow. That was a long time ago! We have done the Monroe far a few times... I dont remember it being that small.. Smaller then the Puyallup, for sure.. But not really small. :confused3 But we havent been since Alex was 2, so maybe it has changed.

Im hungry..

I havent been sleeping lately, so I took some lovely night night pills again. I havent had to use them for a while...

Last night Frelan came home around 3am, and I HAD been asleep... but I woke up because I was hungry, and dreaming about the Southern Style Chicken sandwich from McDonalds.. So he came sneaking in the room to see if I was sleeping, and I jumped up and said... OGEDY BOOGEDY!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Oh it was FUNNY!! I scared the crap out of him. But thankfully he was home, and could go and get me my sandwich. :rotfl2: Thats why I love the man.. He can SENSE when I need something, and will come all the way to get it for me. ;) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It was quite a night in our house let me tell ya. :thumbsup2 Oh, I just did. Morgan's like what's the big deal. Jeff said "well, hon it will be like this when you get your first bra" Then he passed out almost because she's already asking for a bra. :faint:

OMG, so funny How is everyone! Thanks for keeping me updated on where to find you with the PM. I have been busy this summer. Started back to work last Thursday and the kids come on Thursday. I am up super early, both kids are at granny and papa's...it is amazing how fast I can get ready. I have an hour until my inservice starts, so I thought I would look up some stuff for our upcoming trip to WDW.

Good Morning Hyenas,

I ordered breakfast to go from Corner Bakery and also got some Jamba Juice with my cousin.

We are all excited about our upcoming DL trip. One of my co-workers was convinced to go. She said it was the thought of prime rib from Blue Bayou. :rotfl: I told her she should try it at least once and she has not been to the park in more than 10 years. She also asked if we had to pay to go on each ride. Could you imagine it we had to?? :faint:

They have a point card system at Nickeldeon Universe park (mall of america), x amount of points for each type of ride.. the bigger rides cost more than say the bumper cars or bounce house for the lil guys.

They have annual passes -- not worth it, at $250 would rather buy a pass at DL.
And they have wrist bands for a flat fee of $30, coupons out there for a few dollars off. We buy just enough points for one ride and done for the year.

Everything pales in comparison to Disney parks

But here I come to save the day!!!!!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: In one single bound I will bring us up from the depths of oblivion.

Except for maybe, quite possibly Universal Orlando. If you stay at one of their on-site hotels your room key card doubles as a Fast Pass!!!! There is nothing better than having Fast Pass on all of the Fast Pass rides, no limit and no time between using. Just show your room key and you're in the Fast Pass line!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I havent been sleeping lately, so I took some lovely night night pills again. I havent had to use them for a while...

What a coincidence, I'm doing drugs again too! I've had a horrible time again with hot flashes, seems I went back into menopause again. So I finally started taking the Prozac again a couple of nights ago. I haven't been Dising much lately because I can't deal with the heat from the laptop.:lmao: But I've only had 3 hot flashes today, only 1 of them tonight.

Make that 4 hot flashes, I knew if I said something I would jinx it!

So tomorrow I pick my sister and nephews up from the airport. Then she is going over to pick her son up to visit for a few days. Should have fun with all of them here this week. Then the hearing is on Friday, so should be a totally crazy week at my house!

So did Megan take her sleepy pill and now is sound asleep while leaving her green light on, giving me false hope that I won't spend the night talking to myself??:lmao:

And Good Night and Happy Dreams to All she says to everyone...yet no one!:lmao:

Good evening, hyenas!

It's a little late, and I realize no one is here now, but thought I should at least let you know I was here. :)

Tonight we attended the pizza and awards dinner for DS7's baseball team. DH said a few words about each child's season, and we gave them a cool medallion and a certificate. The parents were so cool this season, no one complained to the coach or about the coach, all the parents pitched in to help out, brought snacks, and most importantly cheered on the team. What a fun season it was!

So we are down to our last 3 weeks of summer break. Tomorrow the boys and I are going into Seattle with my sister for some fun. Thursday we head to the ocean for a brief vacation, including dinner with friends on Friday for DS7's birthday. :woohoo:
