Congrats Morgan!!!

The traffic was horrible-lots of stop and go traffic but no accidents.
Then we went to Seaport Village (my favorite place in SD) and went to Crazy Shirts. I wanted a shirt I had seen in their catalog but they didn't have it.
I did buy a cool Quiksilver shirt in another shop there.
It was really far but they had so many different kinds of bread. We ate a late dim sum lunch at a place next door and then headed back home. We were still sleepy so we ended up taking a nap. I woke up around 8pm and felt hungry so I just heated up our leftovers from lunch. My bf is still snoring away. I'm also watching the olympics. This one tiny girl for the China team was on the bars. She swung from the high bar to the low bar but was too close and ended up losing her grip and falling. I felt so bad for her but she got right back up and finished the routine. It was sad to see how disappointed she looked and I think she was crying a little. One of the coaches hugged her and her team mates all told her it was okay and good job.
Good morning, hyenas!
Weather's iffy today; it rained last night, we had a brief sunbreak this morning, and now it's just overcast.![]()
Sam, I always loved going to the fair. I love the sound of that Irish Sundae, I love baked potaoes with "the works"!
I grew up about a 20-min. drive from the fairgrounds for th Western Washington State Fair (Puyallup), and we used to go every year. In fact, we used to get a "Fair" day off school in early Sept. and a free ticket to the fair, though I'm not sure they do that anymore.
Do you guys do the Puyallup? I've never done the Clark County one, but it sounds right up my alley. I love the crafts and food and technical exhibits, and of course the rides! Not so much the smelly animals, but that does seem to be what DH gravitates to for some reason. I bet the boys would love that, too.![]()
We've only been to the Monroe Fair once together. DH's family used to go to that one when he was little. It's much smaller than the Puyallup, and more like the old time country fair, with animal races, kids trying to catch a greased pig and so on.
I think I'll try to take the kids to the Puyallup this year, we have never taken them to a fair! I love the scones and strawberry jam, the "fort" where they have musical performances, and love to have an old time photo taken.
I think they taste like nasty little dry biscuits. I think the last time we went was when Mikalah was a baby. Wow. That was a long time ago! We have done the Monroe far a few times... I dont remember it being that small.. Smaller then the Puyallup, for sure.. But not really small.
But we havent been since Alex was 2, so maybe it has changed.
Oh it was FUNNY!! I scared the crap out of him. But thankfully he was home, and could go and get me my sandwich.
Thats why I love the man.. He can SENSE when I need something, and will come all the way to get it for me.

It was quite a night in our house let me tell ya.Oh, I just did. Morgan's like what's the big deal. Jeff said "well, hon it will be like this when you get your first bra" Then he passed out almost because she's already asking for a bra.

I told her she should try it at least once and she has not been to the park in more than 10 years. She also asked if we had to pay to go on each ride. Could you imagine it we had to??

They have a point card system at Nickeldeon Universe park (mall of america), x amount of points for each type of ride.. the bigger rides cost more than say the bumper cars or bounce house for the lil guys.
They have annual passes -- not worth it, at $250 would rather buy a pass at DL.
And they have wrist bands for a flat fee of $30, coupons out there for a few dollars off. We buy just enough points for one ride and done for the year.
Everything pales in comparison to Disney parks![]()
I havent been sleeping lately, so I took some lovely night night pills again. I havent had to use them for a while...
But I've only had 3 hot flashes today, only 1 of them tonight.

It's too quiet now!
most of my classes are at night..sounded like a good idea at the time but now I am not so sure....
