Hi Rochelle! You and I have the same first name :) lol. Welcome to the thread. :wizard:

Thats AMAZING! I love my name but most people just call me row or row row but I get super excited when I find others with my same name! :)

:rotfl: That's too funny! Some of my friends call me RoRo or they call mainly call me Chelle or Chellie. I like Chelle the best :)

Personally I call her roo roo roo, but then it comes off sounding like some yowling dog..not what I intended of course. :lmao:
Hi, I'm Bernice :flower3:

My body has been very sore lately. I try not to take any med's for it, but I'm getting to the point to where I think something might help. I'm just hoping that it's a lack of exercise and not anything more serious. I went for a walk at lunch time today. We are having nice weather this week (low 50's and no rain).:yay: So hopefully I will get a walk in every day. Today I wore 2 sets of inserts in my shoes so my foot won't hurt. Man...it sucks being 40ish.

hmmm, you know that's how it all started out with me.
Like having the sore aches from the flu.. but it never goes away!
Not that I want you to join the fibro club, I want out of my membership now.

Upping my Vitamin D level has helped, taking the arthritis formula of acetaminophen (Tylenol) has helped a tiny bit to take the edge off what I call the "background pain".. you know that annoying chattering tense feel and it takes you awhile to realize "oh I hurt, that's why I want to bite everyone's head off" :rotfl: The arthritis formulation lasts 8 hours, it's just regular acetaminophen but it's formulated as an extended release. You won't get an immediate relief, it's a slower response in waves over time. Per my doc.. Tylenol is kinder on the body than ibuprofen in terms of renal and liver toxicity.

Have you tried the spenco insoles? They are squishy, thick, shock absorbing and replace the insoles in your shoes. It can make cheapo Payless shoes feel comfy! Spenco is also known for making padding for wheelchairs and beds to prevent pressure sores (bed sores). So think of the insoles as pre-geriatric care for the "it sucks being 40 ish" population :lmao:

My massage was great today!
Usually he works on my tight tender spots, mix of ooooo that feels good :cloud9: and owwww okay, move on now :headache:.

But since I am in my grrrrrrrrr tense, anxious, hurt everywhere kinda day because the weather changed (ya know, it's hard to enjoy nice warmer weather when the change causes my symptoms to flare.. sigh...) I opted for a full body relaxation massage.. ahhhhhhhhhh.

He did find a few spots, happily grinding away and trying to make the muscle release. New unhappy spots that we haven't worked on before. But I grumbled and he moved on. :upsidedow

It was the first time I felt that deep relaxed state, you know :rolleyes1 how must people say they feel with a massage.

I didn't want my hour to be up, didn't want to get off the warm cozy table.. nooooo just let me sleep here and drool on the head cradle. zzzzzzzzzz

It felt great.
Which tells me this once a week thing is the way to go. :thumbsup2

It must be my lucky day...I just got a call that I won a case of Amsoil from a drawing I entered on Saturday.

Can I send you a dollar and have you go buy a lottery ticket for me?:rotfl2:

Well that's good that you're more mature, because I have an 18yo daughter and I almost killed her when she was 16!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Does this mean we can call our other Rochelle...Old Lady Rochelle now?:rotfl2:

No, I don't think I have fibro. I think I just have a body that's been cut up, poisoned & burnt and just about everything hurts.

Right now I have 3 kinds of inserts and I rotate them around. I try to wear different shoes and different inserts every day. My foot is getting better. Sometimes you can make Morton's neuroma heal itself and make the swelling go down by using inserts...so that's what I'm trying to do. But I will make a note to get some of the Spenco inserts.

Wish I could do massages, but I'm so ticklish that it's pure torture for me. I've tried it a few times and I can't stand it.

My mom said I was horrible at 11. She said it WAS HORRIBLE. she wanted to rip her hair out. Now we are best friends, never argue or fight! :goodvibes

:lmao: I think for your sake you will be better off not calling her Old Lady Rochelle. :rotfl:

:rotfl: I am not old BTW!! lol! Everyone says I look like a teenager. I guess that will help me when I really am old and grey.

Everyone just calls me Pix, Pixie, or Pixster on here. I prefer Pixster or Pix :)

Ugh.... Having twins can be the pits sometimes. I was up until 4:30 this morning. One baby up, then the next. They are sick, I am sick.. It's just good times right now. I ended up falling asleep on the couch with my Vinny baby. It's a good thing I can take the back cushions off the couch, gives plenty of room for our fat butts! :lmao: we are supposed to have friends over for dinner, but I just don't think that will happen.

Yuck, sick kids are the worst!
Hope they get better soon and you can sleep so you can get better too... crabby sick mommas are so out of season you know. :snooty:

Things that make you go hmmmmm?
Remember that home dialysis nurse that we just didn't like? At first we thought he was just odd, then he was kinda rude, dh told him off. Eventually the nurse kinda relaxed, mellowed out and we were all on a good level together this year. I think he got to know hubby better and realized that dialysis is just one small aspect of our life.. and maybe he stopped taking his job so serious too.
I know the last few times we saw him he was arguing with the company, kudos, rock on for being an advocate for your patients and fellow staff. :thumbsup2

We had a question this week, called the clinic to direct the concern to the nurse.. find out.. he no longer works there. HUH? At one point were you going to tell patients? You see, as a home nurse, he was our source for everything. We had his cell number to call if we had any concerns, he was our personal nurse.. without the high price of a private duty nurse. ;)

And our water treatment guy is gone too.. what the heck?

Today the nurse called, I let it go to voice mail. He wanted to ask a "personal question" of dh and to NOT contact him at the clinic (well duh). Hubby called him back and left a message to call back during x times. A few hours go by, nurse calls again ( I figure it has nothing to do with me so I let it go to voice mail), his message is "disregard the previous message and thank you "

hmmmmmmmmmm, so did the nurse leave of his own choosing? or did he get fired over something that he questioned? Very puzzling, I feel kinda creeped out that he felt okay with calling when he is no longer part of the clinic.. it's not like we were great friends or anything. Just tolerated each other out of necessity. So now I'm all curious and wish I knew the back story, I'm SURE there is a story and now we won't hear it. boooo.

You know we love you...no matter how old or young you are. Now all we need is somebody way older then me on here and I can feel young again. Does anybody have a grandma that wants to join our thread?lol.

I think we were all horrible at 11...something to do with hormones!:rotfl: Wish I didn't argue or fight with my DD, but unfortunately, she's just like me!:lmao:

And that folks is why I'm glad there will only be grandchildren in my future, not more children. Cuz when they get sick I will be able to send them home with their mama's.

Hope you all get feeling better soon.

I bet he was probably just going to see if he could use you as a reference, but then maybe changed his mind.:confused3

BTW Pixster, I find it a bit disturbing that you have a devil smiley in your arsenal...interesting, but disturbing.:lmao:

I just wanted to pop on and say a quick hello. I'm off to school. School is responsible for my absence on the disboards. My sincerest apologies, I miss chatting with you ladies!!!! I hope everyone is doing well.:grouphug:

Christina!! We miss you! I'm so happy for you that you are taking classes. I hope it's going well for you :)

Who's gonna run the Disneyland Half Marathon with me in September? ;)

I just signed up! Can't wait, it was so much fun last year. This year I'm not stopping for pictures. I'm hoping to run it in under 2 1/2 hours. :)

Go you ! What are you studying? I think about going back... and then I think.. would I be able to handle it? and for WHAT?
Besides, that would be way too much torture to go to the same college as my ds next year. He might smother me in my sleep! :lmao: :rotfl2:

It's a mellow day today, one boy gone, the other still sleeping and dh off to work. The apartment is clean (because I went nuts yesterday and cleaned everything, a little too nuts, ooooo burning shoulders) and I have no plans.

Okay so I'm bored. :dance3:

I decided instead of a trip this year, I'm going to pay for membership at a local gym or the Y for a year. I need to do some swimming, yoga classes, etc.
And take a few mini "staycations" this year. We plan to rent a camper cabin at a state park for a week this summer - E can bring his dialysis as the cabins have electricity. Spend time at Park Point (strip of land that juts out into the harbor on Lake Superior) and other touristy things in Duluth.
Have a night at a local water park hotel, night at one of our local casinos, that kind of thing.

If LA Fitness (just a mile away) will take a one time payment and not do a monthly billing, I will go there. I read some horror stories about how hard it is to cancel membership with them. You have to send a certified letter to corporate and then they still try to auto pay from your account. Figure, don't give them my account info and they can't screw it up.:thumbsup2
In the summer, I can walk over.

If they won't do a one time payment, will join the YMCA downtown.
Not bothering with family membership, the boys might join me in the summer a few times but realistically they would rather spend time with friends.
