Thanks Megan! I am glad I am not the only one LOL. I remember when I was pg and forgetting stuff. Now between the stupid meds I take that make me forget and now with this cold that makes me feel like I have my head in a dishwasher I tell ya!

Good luck on the kiddos starting school. Mine have been in for a couple weeks now so we are settling in to our routine. Last week was nuts with back to school and all but this week luckily not much going on till the weekend which is good since my brain is obviously out in left field LOL.

Then next week I don't think we have anything going on either other than soccer practice and our game on Sat so we just have our normal routine for a bit which will be nice! Looking forward to just getting IN to a routine for a bit without to much other junk getting in the way!!

Hey Kelly, if the family run doesn't work for you.. there is the CHOC walk in DL to raise funds for needy patients at the children's hospital in October each year. Looks like a fun event and a worthy cause. (Need to raise $50 per walker)

Pix.. it's COLD here today (60 for the high) I love fall. I happily turned on my oven and cooked a full meal of yummy goodness. Haven't done that in a long time! Chicken, baked potatoes, and acorn squash. The squash was from the farmer's market.. mmmm the very nice Hmong farmers in MN totally know how to grow some good stuff! Amazing taste, super sweet all by itself - no butter, no sugar. YUM!

Megan- I was wondering how the school year kick off was going. I'm sure it will be much too quiet and lonely for you with just two kidlets.
Justin, all of a sudden, looks his 17 years and is acting.. dare I say it and possibly jinx myself?.. like an almost grown up! It's weird I tell ya!
He was organized, spiffy looking, up on time and giving advice to Noah for his first day. (Just the freshman today)

I asked Justin "so.. uh why the sudden interest in hygiene and other responsible behaviors? " and he surprised me by saying "well, if I might be on my own next year, I should start taking care of myself now"

Okay, (pat myself on the back) obviously Eloy and I have done an okay job raising this creature.. but it's a sad realization, I want to cry.

It wasn't that long ago he was my goofy curly head cutie boy, whacking his head into the wall because he was running around with a box on his head. (I have the pictures to prove it! Waiting the day to show them to his future significant other to embarrass him. )

Morning and happy Wed!!

Love these short weeks cuz they go by so much quicker!!

I have yet to venture out of the house but I SO need to!! Need to check my mail and need to get out and get a condolence card for a friend on another board her lost her spouse. SOOO sad! I spend all day again yesterday just tying to relax and recoup and it wasn't too bad but as usual the nights seem to be the worst. I went to bed at 8 o'clock LOL. And didn't sleep much last night. Can't seem to breathe well and ended up with a NASTY headache from all this congestion. I got up about 4 and took another sudafed and then couldn't stand it so got up at 5 and took a nice hot bath. Those two things seemed to help enough to make it so I could function to get the girls up at 6 and I am making due for now. It is trash day and I have dishes in the sink. I have had SOME help round here but they can never seem to do ALL of it. Anyway so today is more recuping and I will clean as I feel up to it. My parents have some friends in town that I also happen to know and wanted to know if we wanted to meet for dinner but I have to see if I feel up to it. It depends on how the day goes.

We shall see.

I am giving it till tomorrow to see if I need to drag myself to the doc. HATE going and am putting it off hoping that this will fade away on it's own!!!

Anywho that's bout it on my end.

B that is awesome that your son is acting so grown up! Makes a momma proud but I know what you mean it also makes you a bit sad that your baby is so grown up!!

It is 7:17 and I am down two kids. Tomorrow this time Ill be down 3.... I dont know whether to... or .. I set my alarm to go off at 6 this morning so I could make sure the teen was up, but it didnt go off. I woke up at 6:20 and she was already ready to go. Alex got up a few minutes later and got ready. I dont know what Julie was thinking when we got her back pack.Its more like a giant purse.. She put her notebook in it and its already full. WHat the heck is she gonna do when she has homework?? Seriously.. teens make my head hurt. If I hear.. I KNOW, or thats stupid.. one more flipping time I swear I am going to lose my mind! Okay, now I think I am looking forward to a nice peaceful day!

I give "The LOOK" and I hear "FINE!" STOMP STOMP STOMP as he goes off to do whatever horrible task I nicely asked of him... for the fifth time that day.

E's case worker from SS finally called back. I goofed and said "he's at work".. yeah not a good thing to tell a SS worker when filing for disability. But I added "yes, for his one hour per day as a .2 position" and she laughed and said yes of course, I have that info. Shewwwwwwwww...
Anyway, she couldn't tell me specifics since all I am is the wife.. gotta love federal agency privacy rules, If I was his lawyer she could have told me every detail.

The forms were processed and his claim was approved.
It's at the payment center for the determination of benefits.

Now it's just a waiting game for the letter to arrive and the deposit to occur. I didn't catch the date of approval, I heard "8"
8th of September? (today?) 8th of August? 28th?
Reading on ss disabilty app help sites, it takes 2-3 weeks once it reaches the payment center (unless it gets pulled for QA review.. argh!)

I have no clue if there will be back pay or how much total per month. He was originally told that his deferred summer pay would not count as income (already earned in school year). If that's the case he will get back pay for July and August. Hopefully by next week we will get the letter.

Megan that is too funny about Julie with the backpack. My stepdaughter did the SAME thing. She wanted this shoulder style one that had like a flap thing. It wasn't the standard style one and I was TOTALLY against it but my mom bought it for her and JUST like I knew she got to school and it totally didn't work. She only had 4 classes too one of which was pe! But they don't allow lockers here and she had to bring home ALL her books plus a binder etc etc and did NOT have room in that small thing. It was really dumb! SOOO we had to go get her a NORMAL backpack. Boy did she hate having to admit I was right LOL.

And B that whole thing with the rolling of the eyes and esp the giant SIGHS! ALL too familiar. We went ROUND and ROUND with her and unfortunately it got worse before it got better so hopefully you all have it a lot better than we did. It sounds like you guys hopefully just have the normal teenage stuff and basically they are both pretty good kids so not to worry!

That is awesome news too that Eloy got his SS. I know what a giant hassle that has been for you so so glad that that has gone through!! Shane gets VA money and it took forever to get it and now we haven't gotten a cost of living raise in like 2 or 3 years, the whopping 5 dollars a year that we get, and who knows if or when we ever WILL! So ridiculous! He really needs to go back too because he was only rated at 10% and really needs to be rated at 30% and then he can get health care when he turns 65. It is a long drawn out process but he def deserved a higher rating but it was a big nightmare and he didn't want to go back and go through the whole process at the time but he has since been told by several people that he should re-do it because he could def get it. So someday hopefully he will cuz his knee is DEF bad!

Anyway yesterday I still wasn't feeling all that great but really wanted to see our friends so we went ahead and went out and all through dinner I was having a heck of a time trying to eat talk and breathe LOL. You know how it is when your head is all stopped up and you can't breathe and then you are trying to eat and then if you try to talk on top of it. UGH! But I was glad I went because these friends live in Idaho and we haven't seen them in several years and they very rarely come down. So I am glad that we decided to go. On the way out it started raining too which was really weird.

I also got the last rsvp for Katy's party so that means everyone is coming so she is all excited. I just pray the weather cooperates! I said as long as it is nice for Sunday it can get cold and stay cold after that but I just hope it is nice that one last day!!!

Shane was laid off for today so not sure what is up for today but then tonight he finds out their soccer schedule for the first half of the season which includes when our game is on Sat so that will be good.

Anyway that's bout it for now.

I also get a lot of .... WHATEVER. SHe popped that gem off yesterday while I was making dinner, and I was already in a mood.. I threw my spoon down and stomped out in the middle of cooking. I was all stressed out with the babies, and Kaylee starting school today.. It was my straw. I just sat on my bed bawling. DH came in and just hugged on me. I must have been hungry too.. After dinner I was fine!

So.. Today was Kaylees first day. I cried like a baby as soon as I left that classroom. I felt like they were ripping my baby away from me! I have some first day pics, and Ill post them as soon as dh gets home from work. He went in late, and it was just as hard for him. WHen we left, he wanted to go back and get her. Its safer at home!! We have to go get her!! I cant believe we just LEFT her there!! I was like.. WOW. Way to make it easier on me! She was such a wreck this morning. I thought she was gonna barf. She was so nervous. I had her call my mom this morning and talk to her.. Calm her a little. I was fixing her hair, and she looked at me and said.. Im nervous mommy.. I think Im gonna puke. But she did okay. Her teacher was nice.. I dont know. I hope she does okay. I havent gotten a call from the school saying she puked, or is having a breakdown or anything.

I got a sunburn at the beach!

The weather forecast was for showers, but it was beautiful all weekend long.

Sunday morning I decided to take a walk down to the beach (about 1 block away). DS & his friend (yep, we caved in & let him take a friend...beats hearing "I'm bored" all weekend long) were out riding bikes. DH was laying in the hammock reading, so I go by myself.

I see a house off in the distance that looks like a lighthouse. It's past the point where you are allowed to drive on the beach so although I have seen it, I've never been up close.

So I walk and I walk and I walk. I'm on a lovely stretch of beach where there is hardly anybody. It is beautiful, shells all around and the most peaceful place you can imagine. I keep walking and soon I enter the dunes area where you must walk only by the water because it is snowy plover nesting area in the dunes. Thousands of birds are all around, it is beautiful and I have the entire beach to myself. So I keep walking and walking and walking...3 hours later I return to find DH and the boys freaking out because I've been gone so long. But I guess I got my punishment because I got so sunburned that my face was as red as a lobster.

The new trailer was awesome. I was going to go on a camping trip this weekend, but I think my family is getting a bit burnt out on camping. I'm thinking that I may get trailer brakes on my Excursion and just start going on my own camping trips when they don't want to go. They all looked terrified when I said I may just start camping by myself.

Oh and the most wonderful news, we finally thought of a name for our beach lot. We are going with a pirate theme...and will get a sign made that says:

"ARRRGGHH" place on "Ayyyee" Street
(insert pirate skull here)

Yes, we are located on I Street. We are going to be the Pirates of the Pacific.

Yes, yes, I know, we are now "THOSE PEOPLE".

I haven't read any posts either. I'm being rude. I've been planning my stagette with my sister. We're going pole dancing and then for dinner. The dinner is going to be so awkward because I invited my future MIL, who doesn't drink. I do drink, so this could be...interesting lol. She'll be afraid for her son after this.

I hope your are all doing well. I've been busy these past couple of days. I feel like now that you guys are all on my FB, there is no need to really mention what I've been up to since you can see it.

I went shopping for a friend of mine who is having a surprise bridal shower coming up. Her fiancee and another friend of mine planned it. I think that's really sweet of her fiancee to do that.

Another friend of mine is having a b-day party coming up this month too. I'm starting another session of my hip hop class next week and am excited about that. I'm also busy trying to figure things out for taking classes to get my BA.

Gah.. I had a rough day! It was TOOOOOOO quiet. After having five kids home all summer... Having only two is scary stuff. I was a freaking wreck all day. I was to twitchy just to sit around, but also to twitchy to get anything done! I barely managed a load of dishes.. But then all the kids got home, and it was like trying to listen to five convos at once. Everyone wanted to tell me all about their days.. Plus the twins were on me like white on rice! Now I am exhausted!

Alison... YAY on loving the trailer. Boo on the sunburn! I forget everything else.. Im still a little wound up, and exhausted all at the same time. Crazy.

Julie met a BOY today. She sat with him at lunch.. She kept chattering to me about him and I FINALLY got it. Is he cute?? Ummmmmm... YEAH!! He is SOOO CUTE! AHHHHHH!! I SEEEE!! PLUS.. We saw Alex walking with Nakima this morning. His GIIIIIIIIRRRRRRLLLLLLFFFRRRRRIIIIEEEENNNNDDDD!!!! Oh man. Its cute.
