I checked the weather for DL and Sunday has a high of 82. So it should be cool for my race at 6:00am.

I'm home all by my self and I can't sleep. DBF left to go camping with his brother today and I'm not leaving until tomorrow morning.

Sara is he going to be back to watch you race?? I hope so!! That is good that the weather is not going to be too bad!! I KNOW you are going to do great and can't wait to hear how you did and see the pics!!

What about everyone else? Any fun plans? I know Alison is going camping.

As for us last night we just came home and relaxed and watched tv. Shane got takeout so I wouldn't have to cook and we just kicked back. This morning I am going to run up to the store here soon and we are going to order Katy's birthday cake for next weekend and then buy the desserts we need to take to the party today. Then we are going to run back out to the outlets because when I was at gap they had these really cute wallets that were already only 5.00 and then they were on sale on top of that that the girls wanted. And we will prob look around a little and then come back and meet my parents and head to the party. It is supposed to be cooler than it was but I hope it is not too hot!!

It is still supposed to be in the high 80's and the party is outside!!

Then tomorrow we have to run to Sam's in the morning but then after that we may try to do something. Not sure what yet. We talked about a movie but I think the gang want's to do something else. I would LOVE that but WHAT is the question. We don't really want to go anywhere to far because of the traffic etc so we will have to see.

And not sure about Monday. I need to shop for tires but I am going to talk to my dad about that today. He was shopping around for me and I know the store I am thinking about getting them he said was under renovation. So I might have to wait another week or two. We shall see.

Anyway that's bout it on my end.

I am now the proud owner of 10 blocks and 10 shredded bags of cheese.. and it cost me ZILCH! zero.. nadda.. nothing! Gotta love when coupons and catalina offers match up into a wonderful deal. Especially when it's "real" food and not packaged junk. This catalina offer seems to roll out every Labor Day weekend, we buy as much cheese as we can afford (and fit in the freezer) to use for months until the next deal rolls around. I cringe when we run out and need to pay <GASP> full price!

We had fun yesterday. We usually do stuff with my dad's side of the family because my mom was an only child and both of her parents are deceased and she didn't have a whole lot of family out here. Her dad was 56 when she was born and he died when I was 6 months old and her mom was 41 when she was born so in her 60's when I was born and it was pretty much just her and my mom. So they just did stuff with my dad's side mostly but there is a few handful of relatives and every so often we get together with that side. They have this annual fish fry on the labor day weekend and we have gone off and on for years. It was good to get back and see everyone as it has been about 3 years since we have been. A lot of the old timers have since passed away which is sad and most of the little kids have all grown up but it was nice to see that side of the family!! It was pretty warm but not too bad but the only bad thing is by the time we got home I was starting to feel funny and then all night I tossed and turned with a sore throat and a cough so today I am not feeling too hot. Katy also had a real bad headache so I don't know if she just got overheated or if she has a bit of a cold as well.

So I don't know if we will do much today. Prob just our sam's run and kick back. Hopefully we will feel better tomorrow and be able to do something!

Morning and happy Labor day!!

First of all CONGRATS sarah!! That is awesome!! Can't wait to hear all the details and see your medal!!

I am STILL feeling crappy. Still have my sore throat and cough and Katy ended up with a 103 fever yesterday so somehow we both came down with something. So we just laid on the couch and watched videos all day yesterday. I am still not feeling too great and since I don't want Katy missing any school we prob have more of the same in store for tomorrow.

Shelby has piano today and I wish Shane already knew where it was so he could just take her. I was going to have him go with us for this very reason but since he has never been I guess we are going to have to all go BLEH!

Other than that nothing else planned. Kind of bummed we weren't able to do anything but better to be sick THIS weekend then next when we have our soccer game and Katy's party.

There is something about an end of summer cold that is just terrible, they seem to linger a little longer and more symptomatic. Hope everyone feels better soon Kelly.

Sarah.. yikes! I bet you slept in today.. or at least I hope you do! Sounds like you had a fun day.

New week, new sale.. I just stuffed my freezer with frozen vegies and those smoothie packets from Yoplait. General Mills has this promo a few times a year but it doesn't always include the vegetables. Usually it's all the boxed processed food junk.. yuck!

I can make my own cake, biscuits, mashed potatoes, soup, bars, etc without buying their junky stuff. It's easy to get sucked into buying when you coupon "but I only paid......!!" True, but what other "costs" are involved with your health? And your taste buds for that matter? ICK!

Now I just buy the basics. A few things for convenience sake, like the smoothies. Toss it in a blender with milk and wwwzzzz done! Cheaper at .50 a bag then it would be to buy fruit and yogurt. And I know myself, if it takes a lot of scut work.. it ain't happening!

We slept in till 8:30 had the breakfast buffet at the hotel then hit the Character Wharehouse on the way out of town. I found a cute Tink purse that I had seen in the parks last year. Paid $21.95. Better than the $210 on the Dooney and Bourke I wanted. Lol.

Hi Mel!! How are you? Good I hope!! Wish I could say the same. Luckily Katy is feeling better which is the most important thing because neither one of them can afford to miss any school right now. Not only because it just started but because they are going to miss 5 days for our trip in Nov!! But I feel like a truck hit me. But luckily I don't have to go to work till Friday so I am going to give it a day or 2 and if I don't feel better I am going to break down and go to the stupid doctor. It is so hard cuz half the time there is nothing they can do but I am prone to bronchitis and I have yet to determine if that is what this is turning in to soooo I am just giving it another day or so.

My head feels like I am in a fish tank. All stopped up and sounds like water swishing around. Plus it is all stopped up yet my nose is running like a stupid sieve. And I still have my sore throat and cough. BLEH!

Anyway yesterday I just laid on the couch again all day and Shane went and helped his friend move some furniture, went to the store for me and then took Shelby to piano. Thank goodness he was here cuz I could not have done anything.

Luckily I am off for the next few days and I just pray I feel up for the party this weekend! I will force myself!! LOL

Anyway I am off to get the girls organized and take the to school. Hope you all have a good day!

I guess I am pretty healthy when it comes to the flu and chest junk. I never get them. Neither does my Dad. I think I get good genes or something from him. But...............if the stomach flu comes around, then watch out!

Thanks so much everyone!! I must REALLY be losing it. I got out my checkbook to balance it, which one should never do one your head is not right LOL, and I figured out that last Friday I paid Shane's truck payment, only problem is it comes out direct deposit! OOPPS!!! I AM losing it LOL. I called the bank but they said it was going to come out regardless so I had to have HIM call and get it stopped. GRRRR! What a pain in the butt. Can't have THAT happen. (come out twice!! EEK!!!)

Anyway Sarah LOVE the pics. Saw them on FB but that is SO awesome! So proud of you!!! I know I would never be able to do the marathon with my knees but we really want to do the family 5K next year so maybe we will see you guys there!!!

That is awesome that Rochelle and your mom and MJ all got to meet up and hang out! Looks like fun and I LOVE seeing the halloween stuff going up!!! That is my 2nd fav time of year!! Love it!! We really wanted to go this year for that but I am glad we are going for christmas!! We were just there last year for halloween and in 07 but haven't been at Christmas since 06 I think so I am really looking forward to it!!!

I hope you feel better soon! When I was pregnant with the twins, I messed up the bills BAD! I was taking a nap one day, and my husband came in.. Babe? Did you pay the cable bill?? Ummm.. Yeah? Turns out I didnt and we had to call and make a payment so it would get turned back on. WHOOPS!!

I spent my morning sharpening pencils for school tomorrow. Alex starts tomorrow, and Kaylee the next day.. Because I forgot to register her in time. WHOOPS!! Oh well. Its Kindy, how much is she really going to miss in a day? With everything we went through trying to get Julie registered, Im surprised I remembered to get Kaylee done at all. What teh heck am I going to do with only two kiddos at home???
