Chatterbox Thread-Cmon in and Jabber! Everyone is Welcome!

I will have to drop one off next time I am down there - which hopefully isn't for a while - it is too dang hot!!!

Nice! :rotfl: It's hot here too but obviously not as hot as where you guys live. :faint:

Do you guys have anything fun planned for the weekend? My friend and I are going to hang out tomorrow evening after she gets off of work. I'm not sure what we are doing yet but we want to try this restaurant she mentioned. They make really good burgers but the son of the owner worked in high-end sushi restaraunts, so they also make sushi rolls that are really cheap (less than $5 a plate). I read reviews on Yelp and they were all positive. :yay:

We are going to be getting ready for the Germans..:rotfl2: They come in Sunday night, and then Dh has monday off. Yesterday, at the hospital, they told us to bring Jazz in on Monday to get her stitches out. Dh was like.. Great! Now we can show Julie where the hospital is in case she needs it!:rotfl2:

I think it is in the 110's in the Phoenix area - I lived there for 30 years but can't tolerate the heat anymore. We have been settling into the 70's this week - and getting pretty chilly at night :cool1:

Nothing too fun this weekend - we have DD's 1st soccer practice tomorrow - and DH actually opens Sunday and I close - which usually doesn't happen but it is month end - so it is what it is!!! Hopefully we can get the trampoline (it was Alec's bday present) set up this weekend. It is a full size 15ft with enclosures - suitable for adults too. It is coincidence - but the more that I read about the Sensory Integrative Disorder (with Alec) a trampoline is one of the best things for that - so it will kill two birds (assuming we ever get it put together) :rotfl2:

Kind of.. I have a feeling once Sunday hits, he will be all sorts of twitchy waiting for his sister and stepmom. They dont come in until late, and he is going to be a mess all day. I feel like running around the house screaming... The Germans are coming!! The Germans are coming!!:lmao: When they were practicing for the airshow by our house, we had lots of low flying jets going by us, and Alex was running around yelling.. the russians are coming!! the russians are coming!! I think someone has been watching to many old war movies with their dad!!:rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: That might not be the best way to get her to babysit the kiddos - she will probably be retracting that offer :rotfl2:

I hate the heat. YUCK. I cant handle anything over 75. I MELT. I love where we live! I did this survey about where you should live, all mine came up Washington, Oregon, or Alaska!:lmao: Fits us to a T. We would LOVE to move to Alaska! Its our dream. We are such hicks!:lmao:

It will be way more awesome when it is not in 200+++ pieces in the back of my car :faint:

:lmao::rotfl::lmao: Just tell your DH to remain calm and not get sauerkraut in his lederhosen! :rotfl:

I know! She hasnt seen it on facebook yet, but what a way to welcome them, huh?? Here is Vinny.. He smiles a ton... Here is Jazz. She like to bust her head open and land in the hospital! I swear.. She LOVED being at the hospital. Its not often they get one on one time at home.. Much less go somewhere with us BOTH one on one. SHe was in seventh heaven getting all kinds of attention. Made me feel a little guilty!

I have always hated the heat too - but we love it here!!! We had one week in the 90's and thought we would die - another week in the 80's - but the rest of it is just beautiful. Little bit of snow in the winter (hopefully), and internet access so I can do online shopping at real stores :lmao:

Me too! Hot weather is gross! I like fall and winter when it's cold and you get to wear scarves! :rotfl:

I know. Thats exactly what I said to my husband. Now she is going to think thats how she gets more attention. Both of us all to herself. PLus all the nurses and Dr.s fawning over her.

:lmao: Bubble Wrap!!! But the kids might have too much fun beating her to make her go pop (I know that is what my kids would do) :rotfl2:

ohhhhh that was fun, okay re-cap time.. now that paypal account was funny garcia @ yahoo .com Your pennies are dear to my heart. :lovestruc

Are you busting a move while no one is around?
Of Course!

Awesome!!! Good news is his IEP expires near the beginning of the school year - so I am going in armed with information on SID. I am hoping he can actually get more services this way - as a SEVERE speech delay just isn't enough to qualify

Isn't that totally sucky!!!??! Two standard deviations or more than one area of concern to even qualify for services. By then it's too late right? grrrrr.

I'm with Dizzy!! Spork! Spork! Spork!

woohoooo let the sporking begin! I've missed the sporks, really!

So - the Dizzy family is about to live up to their namesake....soccer -football - softball ....and school starts in a week and a half :faint:

Holy crap! Way too busy, week and a half?? EEK! An earlier school start would never fly in MN, we depend on tourism too much in the summer months. August is that last chance to squeeze in a trip to the cabin or elsewhere. It's a law in MN, school can not start until AFTER labor day unless the district asks for a variance.

I have successfully completed stage one of husband training!!!

SWEET!

I have been after him to take out the stinky garbage for about three days now. I COULD do it myself.. But now its like a competition, you know? WHo can handle the stink the longest??

Do you have the delicate stacking as part of the stink competition? You know, see how tall it can stack without falling over. If it falls on your watch you are screwed... off to the dumpster you go as we sneer HA-HA ala Simpson style.

We generate a huge pile of trash every week, all the boxes and medical trash besides the normal kitchen stuff. Large size pile waiting to go right now. UGH!

Apparently my kids have pee of steel! I don't normally hit my kids with dirty diapers, but it was a little funny.

:rotfl: Too funny! And totally tag worthy.. sigh...

The kiddos are running around the house like trained little rats

Do you give them cheese as a reward?

My kids are watching TV. But hey, its PBS.. That should count for something, right?

Most definitely!

The others are going to be all confused when they are so many pages behind!!!

Not confused, pleasantly surprised and bummed I wasn't home this afternoon. Another time. :goodvibes

Ma'am? Could you speak up? I cant hear you at all. I said, Oh sorry.. Im outside hiding from my kids! He said.. Doesnt work. They ALWAYS find you.

It's the GPS- mom locator device inserted at birth.

I think my house is being cleaned - they could be slowly setting it ablaze....if I leave abruptly check the news in the White Mountain area, ok???

:lmao:

Dizzy, I think you need to put a lego on Shawna's doorstep as a reminder to come back to the DIS!

I did leave a trail to/ from California you know. :rolleyes1

I found an ebelskiver pan at the thrift store, not as nice as Nordic Ware but for the price thought I would give it a whirl, now I just need some recipes!:thumbsup2

Eloy has got us hooked on watching Nip Tuck. We are watching them during his treatments, halfway thru season 2 and E says yet again "these people are so depraved!" with each of the steamy sex scenes.. yep, but that's why we keep watching it dear. ;)

So I got my haircut today, it was to be nothing new just a trim. I figured the guy that I didn't really like last time would handle it. Well, I was a bit perplexed on his technique because he did it so oddly compared to the everyone who has done mine in the past. Plus he kept telling me to put my head down, well gee sorry dude I can't stay in one position for very long - let me stretch a bit.. geesh! While he was combing , he was holding his scissors too, at one point he bumped the scissor handle into my ear.. ***?? I glance at the mirror and see Eloy in the waiting area, he gives me the "are you okay?" look and he knows that I am THIS close to telling this guy off. :lmao: I almost wanted to ask if one of the other stylist can finish it.:guilty: But after awhile it started to look okay so I let it pass. Eloy didn't give him a tip, we always give a tip..

Got home, showered and did my hair.. oh crap! One side is shorter than the other, it's like he "forgot" to do one side.

Depending on how I style, I could just leave it and wait it out.

Now he is totally on my "no can do" list. He did one of the boys once and he didn't clean up the neck. How could you not see that tuft of hair growing back there?? :confused3
