I hope everyone had a good day. My bf and I woke up around 10:30am and went to the mall. He drew a picture of Domokun and we took it to a decal cart. They scanned it and made it into a sticker. :thumbsup2

Then we ate Red Robin for lunch because the decals took a bit longer than expected. While at the mall I tried on a pairs of jeans at American Eagle. I needed to exchange a pair I had bought online and apparently they give you a free t-shirt for trying on any 1 pair of jeans in there store. It's a black t-shirt that is for a concert promo. You can see the t-shirt at the bottom of this page: http://www.ae.com/web/77e/music/festival/index.jsp?&WT.ac=HPSCFNAMU :wizard: in case you guys want one. :)

We watched Dark Knight. My bf has been waiting to see this movie but we wanted to wait till the crowds weren't so insane. It was actually a lot better than what I had expected. You guys should watch it.

Christian Bale looked hot in this movie. :thumbsup2

On the way home we stopped at Home Depot and then ate some Chinese food at a local restaraunt. Then we came home and actually took a long nap until about 30 minutes ago. :rotfl:

That is a great idea. Oh, and at our old daycare, they had us bring in a family photo to post in their cubby so the child could see it throughout the day. Even if they can't post it at Jake's school, maybe you could give him little photo to keep in his jacket pocket or something?

JACKET???

Busy social calendar today... Not! ;)

DH wound up being all day at the neighbor's house. I took DS7 there after lunch so he could play with his buddy, but brought DS4 home for nap. He was very upset with me about that, so I snuggled with him to make up for it. ;)

He fell asleep, thank goodness (I think I did too, for a bit), but woke after only 1.5 hours. We went back over to the neighbor's house because I was surprised DH and DS weren't home yet. Stayed and chatted with the mom for quite awhile.

My neighbor friend had emailed me and asked if we'd like to walk to Hot Donald's for ice cream this evening, so once we got home we rushed through dinner. Then the boys and I scooted off to her house while DH soaked in a nice hot bath. :thumbsup2

We ate chocolate dipped cones, then the kids played a bit in the play area. DS4 had an accident in his pull-up, so we had to leave sooner than we expected. Then when we reached my friend's house again the kids still wanted to play, so it took quite a bit of coaxing to get them home.

While the boys watched an Elmo video, I chatted with my mom and tried to figure out why the network connection on the laptop wasn't working. Not sure what finally made it work, but here I am. :confused3

Every time I think of Elmo I think of: "This is the song, la la la la Elmo song!" :rotfl:

Yeah, very catchy and really annoying after not too long. :lmao:

DS4 was a HUGE Elmo fan, much bigger than DS7. DS7 was really into the Wiggles and Bob the Builder; for DS4 it was Baby Einstein and Elmo. :lovestruc

Now it's superheroes: Spiderman, Batman, Power Rangers; and DS4 still likes Elmo, of course. :rotfl:

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: I know! It gets stuck in my head for the longest time if I hear it. :lmao:

I like how the movies are pretty true to the books, but I worry this one will be too dark for DS7. He loves seeing the movies and reading the books, but I think I'll have to distract him with other books/movies for a few years.

The 6th and 7th books were really dark. Some parts were eerie for me when I was reading it. :scared: It was still cool but just some parts were creepy.

I agree. Very well done as usual, but very dark. I had to keep reminding myself that these later books were not written for 8yos, the material for the books matured as the characters did.

Have you read all the books yet?

Oh yeah! I think they're the only series books I've bought in hardback. :rotfl:

Lynn encouraged me to read the 'Twilight' series, and after hearing about them so much (hype very much like Potter-mania) I bought the first two books from Overstock. I started reading another book before they arrived that I need to finish, then I'll start on those. :thumbsup2

Cool. :) I thought it was creepy when they were describing the zombies from the cave when they were trying to get the horcrux. :scared1: Also the part in the last book of the Nigini (the snake) in the attic freaked me out a little. :scared1:

My older sister mentioned reading a series of books (she didn't say the name) and she said she was upset because the author killed off all the characters. She said it was just like Harry Potter.

I went to Barnes & Noble today. There is a book I've been looking for called The Dinner Diaries. It was featured in Rachael Ray's magazine but I haven't seen it in stock in the bookstores. It was supposedly released last month. :confused3

I remember being shocked that they were going to kill off some characters in HP.
