Hi, Shawna! I did not expect to "see" you tonight!
and yet I am here. I've been sucked into a TR and I cannot get away from it!

Hi, Shawna! I did not expect to "see" you tonight!
Wow, good for you! The key to losing weight is not expecting to be perfect all the time, but to get back on the wagon when you fall off.I've been eating great this past week and am on a roll with the weight loss thing again. Hopefully I will resist!
So hello to everyone. Please help me.
I'm sitting here with the aroma of brownies all around me. I made them for the kids tonight (against my better judgement) and now i'm trying hard to resist them. I'm doing pretty good, pretending my ice water is a brownie. I should just go to bed but I'm in the middle of reading a really funny TR from WDW so I dont want to go to bed yet.

Me, my sister and my SIL attend. He wants us to go, just in case the judge wants witnesses. Besides, looks better if she has a couple of family members with her.
Boy, juvenile court is sure different. Judge walks out, tells us to remain seated and says I would like to see legal counsel in my chambers for a few moments to privately discuss this matter, unless there are any objections. Nope, no objections!!
So judge and 2 attorneys leave for 45 minutes! Proctor mom sits with her back to us the entire time, it was so obviously a snub, even the judge gave her "a look". Judge then launches into a 30 minute snooze fest, basically saying that he is not going to reverse the emergency custody order. He has listened to my sister's attorney and has no doubt that my mother is fit and capable of caring for Tyler. However what he is concerned with is:
#1. They have a doctor note stating that Tyler could suffer from damage or have a set back if he is removed from his current setting. Judge just kept focusing on this letter.
#2. When Tyler was placed into care, there must have been a problem with the natural parent's home. Because he was placed into proctor care by CFS (Children's & Family Services).
So what he wants to see is the plan my sister has in place and more doctor evaluations saying it would be ok for Tyler to be moved. My sister is getting all of that documentation together and meeting with doctors.
As far as the CFS placement, that is not a problem. When Tyler was originally placed CFS handled abuse, neglect and disabled children placement. A year after Tyler was placed they turned the disabled children over to the Dept. of Disabilities. We have documentation showing that change over. The judge did not realize that, he just knew the CFS handles abuse/neglect cases now. So that one will be easy to prove.
Basically he said that Tyler is not in any danger with the Proctor parents, so they can continue to have the temporary custody until the hearing on August 15th.
My sister is allowed to have reasonable visitation between now and then. If they can't work something out, then the judge wants the attorneys to work it out and present to them.
Plus he is making the proctor parents pay for the airfare for my sister to travel back & forth between Florida and Oregon during the next couple of weeks.
Judge played it safe in the face of a doctor's recommendation.#1. They have a doctor note stating that Tyler could suffer from damage or have a set back if he is removed from his current setting. Judge just kept focusing on this letter.
Good! Too bad the judge didn't already know that, since this apparently was a factor in the decision to keep Tyler in PM's care. Though he may have done that on the basis of #1 alone anyway.#2. Was 'reasonable' defined? How is this supposed to be arranged? Does the judge know that PM has refused visitation until just 2 days ago??? How frustrating!Basically he said that Tyler is not in any danger with the Proctor parents, so they can continue to have the temporary custody until the hearing on August 15th.

Good! How is that supposed to be handled, though? Are the flights billed to PM? Or is your sis supposed to be reimbursed by her? Hmmm, I'm skeptical about that.Plus he is making the proctor parents pay for the airfare for my sister to travel back & forth between Florida and Oregon during the next couple of weeks.

And don't forget, sometimes you will hit a plateau and not lose weight, but you'll probably notice you are losing inches during that timeframe. Kinda cool.
Hey Shawna!! I'm working on getting my priorities straight. Of course right now my nephew and sister are #1, but here I am up at 10pm, haven't even had a shower tonight and hanging with the Hyenas!![]()
We meet with the attorney after the hearing. He tells us that the judge made his decision before he ever came out and started speaking.
Anyway, we are very disappointed, but understand why he made that decision. So far he has only seen 1 side of the story and he is looking out for Tyler's interest. So for that we are greatful. I really don't think a judge can err too much on the side of caution when it comes to a child's welfare. But that doesn't mean it's not frustrating for us.
We called after the hearing to see if Tyler could come spend the night, but as usual proctor mother didn't answer her phone. She called back about an hour later and said he has summer school on Tuesday & Thursday. So my sister asks if she can have him today and tomorrow. Proctor mom agrees.
Now here comes the bad part....my sister & SIL pick him up and take him along with his cousin's to the zoo. Shortly after they arrive my sister notices he is acting strange. He is very tired and lethargic and can barely stay awake. She figures out what is wrong.
Remember how I said he doesn't sleep at night and takes some medications to help him sleep...well one of the things he takes is melatonin. He has taken it at bedtime for years to make him drowsy. My sister believes that the proctor mom gave him his melatonine in the morning so he would be drowsy all day. Luckily my sister has him on a video on her camera. He loves trains and was so sleepy that he nearly fell asleep. It was very sad to watch. Of course, you can't take him for a blood test, because it's a drug he normally takes, of course it would be in his blood. But my sister does have a couple of short video clips on her camera and will be showing it to the court visitor when she visits, as well as her attorney. It really isn't anything that would be dangerous to him, but why in the world would she do that to him?? The only thing we can figure is it was just to be vindictive or maybe proctor mom was hoping that the court visitor would be there today and think that my sister was doing something wrong. We are mad beyond belief!!!!!!

Ohhhhhh wowwwww. That is soooo beyond the facade of "doing what's best for Tyler"!!!![]()

Good lord, that's scary! To what lengths is she willing to go? She's willing to make him miserable because it will ruin your visit with him? Or make your sister look bad to a court visitor? At best that is incredibly manipulative!
Hi, pix. We're just sort of reeling from Sam's account of her day. Unbelievable!Hi Shawna![]()
How does that woman sleep at night?![]()
Ugh, she needs a hyena beatdown!
I can't believe she would do that and that she's been brainwashing him.

Alright girls, lets all go do this. Set your watches. Lets meet at midnight!
Ok I'm totally confused. Did I miss something huge here? Is this your sister who lives in FL? Did she used to live around you and that is why Tyler is up there and not in FL? I'm so lost and I know you clarified it before I'm just too much of a blonde for this to have stuck to my head.
