Hiya kids.

Back from a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. The cake was a hit. The sign turned out really well. Thanks for the idea Bernice and Alex!

I'm so glad my kids are over Chuck E Cheese. Well, Jake isnt but Morgan is done with that place. She decided instead of going to the party (family friends) she would rather have gone to Open Gym at the Gymnastics place. She finally did her back walkover without help kicking her legs over tonight which is good since its in her solo. She's so close to her back handspring its not even funny but she is still scared so she requires a spot. ONe thing I know about tumbling is that you cannot be scared or you get hurt so we will work on it some more before she attempts it without a spot. :scared1:

So, anyway, Chuck E Cheese is the same as he always is. Jake had a good time and came home with 2 top spinners that I'm sure I'll throw out in the next day or so. :rolleyes1

Then we went to Ikea to look for lamps for Jakes room. He thinks he wants to switch it to Pirates theme (its currently Nemo). I want to get one of their wall lamps to put up on the top bunk of his bed. He is sleeping up there now instead of the trundle and he needs a little lamp. We couldnt make up our minds so we left and came home.
:thumbsup2 Cool beans yo!
I know. If he'd said this a few years ago, I'd have been a little freaked out at the idea of me and the kids by myself for 4 days straight. :rotfl:

But I know we'll be fine, I'm not worried about us at all. But this trip apparently involves all-day and late-night meetings, basically 15-hour days, which is way too much for DH. Apparently they do break for lunch and dinner (woo-freakin'-hoo) but I told him he needs to take it easy when he can, eat as healthy as he can, and make sure he gets a good night's rest.

Maybe he can sneak in a nap during one of the breaks?

DS4 has NEVER been to Chuck E Cheese, and DS7 has been only twice, I think, both times for a birthday party.

The first time I think DS was 2yo for a little girl's party. The little girl's mom was frustrated by her daughter refusing to go meet Chuck E, and I couldn't coax DS to go either. But birthday girl's mom, whom DS had a slight crush on, suddenly pulled him into her arms and asked him if he'd go with her to meet Chuck E, and the little stinker nodded! He's such a sucker for a pretty face! :rotfl2:

The second time he was a bit older, maybe 4yo, and he had a blast playing on all the moving ride-on toys. I finally had to lead him away from those and show him all the cool games to play that would actually EARN him some tickets to play on the ride-on toys... :rotfl:

We have gone once.. Never again. EVER. I HATE that place, and I would rather gouge my eye out with a fork then go again.

Yeah, the first time I went it was a newish thing, I was 16 and picking up my sister from the place. OMG, kids were running around screaming, pushing into each other, basically just running wild with no apparent supervision! :scared1:

The few times DS has gone the kids (at least the ones in our group) were all with parents and being closely watched, so it hasn't been too bad.

Now IM thinking about buying a new sewing machine.. I have never used the one I have, but it is missing a part, and I THINK I might have thrown it away. :headache: I think it is important.. But seeing as how it has been like 10 years since I have actually sewn.. I dont remember. :lmao: Anyhoo... I am looking online to see what I can see.

Ohhh bummer! I wonder if you could order the missing part?

I have no idea. But it is a crappy super cheap sewing machine... So I dont mind getting a new one to much. ;) I would like to get that Disney one, but it is just way out of my price range. I think I have found one on Amazon for $150, and it gets GREAT reviews.

We've had so many birthday parties to attend there over the years Then all of the preschool playdates were there. Its a little nice because in the summer when the kids are bored and out of school we can go there since we cant play outside. Still its getting REALLY OLD.

I thought the Brother Disney model was in that range? Shawna?

I got mine from Costco and it was the best deal because it included the software for the computer to get and download embroidery patterns. I havent done that yet.:lmao:

OUCH! That's more than I was thinking. DH wants me to just run to Costco and get it... If they still have it, of course. :)

Nope, no sleepee, yet anyway. I'm reading perez... :rotfl:

Okay... I still feel like crap, so I am heading to bed. Night all!

I dont believe they had it in the store, I ordered it off their website. It comes with the PED Basic software which allows you to download stuff from the internet to put on the sewing machine. So far I love mine. Very easy to thread. It has a cassette system so very different.

I'm off to bed as I almost pulled an Alex just then. :lmao:

Goodnight.

I'm watching NBC (Dateline?) and this defendant in a murder trial is just... nuts! He comes across as acting on the stand, and not very good acting, either. He thinks he's brilliant and going to get away with it, and it's just sickening!

Pumpkin time for me, too. Have a good night's sleep, you two. :cloud9:

Hello Hyenas,

I got to leave work 2 1/2 hrs early today. I had a dental appointment this afternoon. The dentist took too long with one patient and I ended up waiting almost an hour in the waiting room. I was the only one waiting.

It was late when I was finished so I decided to head to the store. I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond. I brought an ad I had received in the mail and it came with a $10 coupon. I got a cool laptop desk. I have been searching for a good one for quite some time. This one was $29.99 and it has a place to rest the laptop and it has a built in mouse pad to the right and an LED light to the left. It's really cool and I can use it when I'm on the laptop in the bedroom. :thumbsup2

My cousins were over for a short time and then I played Diablo II for a little while.

I was really hungry and was planning to have dinner with my mom and little sister. Well with some miscommunication and no signal on my mom's cell phone, they ended up eating without me. I was really hungry and didn't want to eat fast food. My bf's mom had surprised him and gave him a call while he was at work. She brought hime some dinner. My bf was on the phone with me when she arrived at his work. She talked to me and wished me a happy b-day and said that she gave my bf a b-day card to give me. I thanked her and told her it was sweet of her. :)

She got me a funny card with a cat wearing a pink wig. Inside there was a gift for $100 to Macy's. My bf said: "Oh no! More purses!" :lmao: :rotfl2:
