Good morning, hyenas!
Sunny and lovely. :goodvibes

Uh-oh, I hear the WHAM! WHAM! of four little feet headed my way... They must be hungry! :scared:

Shawna, just saw the photos, they're awesome! The girls are stunningly pretty! Wow, and so grown-up looking, it's hard to believe Morgan (and I assume the other girls in her group) are that young. They look around 12 or 13 to me!

Awwwww! Morgan is just getting into them this past year. Well, she always wanted one but I told her she needed to be old enough to take care of it.

she has the Just Like Me doll. I found one with long blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. very cute. Next she is getting Julie for her birthday (shhhh) and she really wants Kit and Ruthie after seeing the movie. That was great wasn't it? We wanted to take her to the AG store in LA or Chicago for her birthday this year but I just couldnt justify that cost with the WDW trip 5 weeks after. I really like the new Mia doll too. She is beautiful. They all are aren't they.

Her best friends went to the one in LA for her birthday and said they dropped a fortune but it was all worth it and it was their best birthday ever.
I'm back.... actually Dave took her.

So it's been awhile since I looked at catalog from AG. Who is Julie? And that is so cool, that Morgan likes them too. When we gave Samantha to Becky, she was only 4 years old and she took good care of her. We did sent her back to the doll hospital one time, cuz her hair was coming off, but at that time, it was free. They even sent her back in a new box, and cleaned her all up. Oh yes..............those were the days. :lmao:

Awwww, poor boys.

They have a little plug-n-play Batman videogame that needs new batteries. But we need a Phillips screwdriver to get the back off, and they can't find one. (DH hides them out in the garage, since we kept finding DS4 swinging them around or storing them in his messy bedroom.) I sent DS7 out into the garage to see if he could find one easily, but no dice. So... they will have to wait until Daddy gets home to play Batman. Sorrrrryyyyy!

Ah, thanks Alex, You see why she has boy problems then. Yikes! Dh always laughs at that cell phone commercial where the son puts the daughters friends in his phone as his favorites and the dad replies something like "you should get uglier friends then" :lmao:

Here is Julie Albright. She's from the 70's.

Hi, Tinkermell!

When I was little I had a bear that I took everywhere (named Berry), and later a big doll (named Big Doll, who says I'm creative??? :lmao: ) that I loved, even after my older brothers cut off all her hair and she looked scary. Oh, and I also had a giant stuffed dog that slept at the foot of my bed; my grandparents gave it to me when I was 4yo and it had been my mom's favorite stuffed animal when she was little. :)

When we moved from CA to WA, rather than cart all our stuff my mom went through the toys she thought we didn't play with anymore, bagged them up, and left them in the basement. We didn't find out about it until we were unpacking and couldn't find our bed buddies, it was quite traumatic! :scared1: My mom hasn't ever lived that one down. :rotfl:

But I do still have the dog.

That is one of my favorite commercials, the actors' little subtleties are hilarious!

That is pretty much what I looked like back then (my hair was a darker blond, "dirty blond" everyone called it) and I never wore a knit hat, but otherwise pretty much the same. :rotfl:

And we did live near SF back then, too! That doll is ME! :lmao:

After a busy week (basketball camp, swim lessons, baseball, doctor appointments) today is a day with nothing scheduled. Yay!

So I feel like I need to schedule something! Find something to do! Go somewhere! :rotfl:

Yeah! believe it or not we actually said NO to something today. Morgan has dance from 10-11 and then there is a swim get together about 40 min from my house. Well, I am doing a cake for a birthday party tonight and I would like Morgan to have some down time before open gym tonight. She wants to skip the party (its a little boys party that Jake knows) and go to open gym so we will split up tonight so from 11:30-5pm we will be home!!! :goodvibes

Then you looked beautiful!!!

Oh darn! The boys have been busy, and found not one but two Phillips screwdrivers! :lmao:

Well, my friend called me again and I picked up...I told her I didn't want to talk to her until she decides what she is doing is wrong...I could almost see it if her hubby was a looser, didn't work, if they were terrible....he has no idea...he works out of town most of the time...brings home paycheck,,,,sends her little gifts, takes her out on special dates etc...he has never missed a major holiday...I could go on forever...

I told her all of these things...she has no plans of leaving him...she is now afraid I am going to tell...I am not saying a word...I don't want in it...I can't do it to him....when DH finds out though I am not so sure he wont...

I cannot wait to get past this next week. Dance and swim are over then Although I'm considering putting Morgan in one more lesson. Jake is DONE. I wont put him in anymore. I know his limits. Next year will be better.

We will skip some of the lessons though to go camping. I'm really looking forward to it.

I hate being put in this position....she has been my friend...one of my best friends since 3rd grade...and we are both 40 this year....but her husband is a friend also.....I am so mad at her for this..

I made the boys stroll with me thru the AG store at The Grove.

Very nice store and all the extras like a beauty parlor for your doll and a "clinic" to drop off for hospital care.

Easy way to blow a chunk of money-- YIKES!

I read on the boards that they are building one at Mall of America. Two story, located just inside the Nickelodeon theme park area, just off from the main rotunda entrance. Not as big as the other stores, but I think being where it is in the park .. it will be popular.

Build a Bear always has lines on weekends and holidays, they also have the spin off store where you make a doll instead of a plush animal.

A new store opened that we compared to build a bear but for boys.. you pick out car frame ($20- 40 dpending on type and size), wheels, sound effects, rims, decals etc.. has an area with power screwdrivers hanging down (like the air pistols/pneumatic drills in a car shop) to screw the frame to the chassis.

It comes with basic wheels, rims, sound.. but you can upgrade each of those for an extra $3 each piece.. ca ching ca ching ca ching
The rims were cool-- just like buying rims for a real car all silver and prettied up.

For an extra $25 you can turn into an RC car. VVVVVRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOooooooooom

It was cool and we had a laugh over it.. becuase no way in heck would we shell out that much for a RC car when they go 75% off at Target after the holidays ;)

B. It looks like my DD and I are going to take that trip to MOA...I just have to get the dates set....

Thats a tough call. You should tell her that SHE needs to tell her husband before someone else does.......leave it at that. that might scare the crap out of her.

That is a neat concept though. Jake likes Build a Bear but would like a car place better!

I did tell her to tell him, and that I wasn't going to talk to her until she did,,,her reply was,,I guess we won't talk because I can't do that....

THEY HAVE 4 KIDS...
