Hey!!! How are you? Still wiped out from your camping trip? :rotfl:

It's 108 RIGHT NOW??? Or that was the high today? Either way, that's pretty dang hot! I'd melt. ;)

Today we were supposed to hit 70. It's been in the 60s. :(

I think it's supposed to rain again tomorrow...

Ahhh. We call it "early summer". :rotfl:

That's pretty much how June was this year, cold and drizzly, no fun at all! And this past week, too, after July was relatively nice and more normal temps in the 70s and 80s. August and the first few weeks of September are usually our best weather of the year, warm and sunny. So here's hoping!!! :lovestruc

So i kept picturing where we camped much like where you guys live. I remember Alison saying the Wilderness Lodge looks like her front yard. I laid on the hammock thinking how nice it must be to live somewhere like this (minus the cold)

Here is a picture of the rim. These are pictures off of photobucket because I forgot my camera. :rolleyes1

This is the Mogollon Rim its about a 2000 ft drop straight down to the bottom and runs a couple hundred miles across the state. Truely awesome.

Here is a picture of the lake we fished at and camped on less than a mile from the rims edge. I used to camp on the rim edge but with kids NO WAY.

And here is a view of how steep the rim edge is.

Unfortunately that last picture showed where the fire went through that dizzy and I were talking about.

So if I ever take a trip up there then August or September would be the time of year to go? What if I wanted to see rain though.:lmao: Sometimes I feel like I want to fly somewhere else to see rain.

Wow, beautiful! Not quite like my neighborhood  , but yes, we have a lot of evergreen trees. I should take some pics of the area and post them on the hyena photobucket area so you guys can see. We have a little of everything: lakes/beach, green trees, mountains, and further away desert (about 1.5 away) and ocean (about 3 hours away.) :cool1:

So I was just searching for AZ pictures on photobucket and this came up.

:lmao:

Doesnt it look like the roadrunner is HUGE and going to eat the city?

OK, I just found these Seattle rain jokes and thought they were funny:

What do you call two straight days of rain in Seattle? A weekend.

It only rains twice a year in Seattle: August through April and May through July.

What does daylight-saving time mean in Seattle? An extra hour of rain.

What's the definition of a Seattle optimist? A guy with a sun visor on his rain hat.

What did the Seattle native say to the Pillsbury Doughboy?
Nice tan.

"I can't believe it," said the tourist. "I've been here an entire week and it's done nothing but rain. When do you have summer here?"
"Well, that's hard to say," replied the local. "Last year, it was on a Wednesday."

A curious fellow died one day and found himself in limbo waiting in a long, long line for judgment. As he stood there, he noticed that some souls were allowed to march right through the gates of heaven. Others were led over to Satan, who threw them into a lake of fire. Every so often, instead of hurling a poor soul into the fire, Satan would toss him or her to one side.

After watching Satan do this several times, the fellow's curiosity got the better of him. He strolled over and tapped Old Nick on the shoulder.

"Excuse me, there, Your Darkness," he said. "I'm waiting in line for judgment, and I couldn't help wondering why you are tossing some people aside instead of flinging them into the fires of hell with the others?"

"Ah," Satan said with a grin. "Those are Seattle-ites. I'm letting them dry out so they'll burn."

Meteorological experts predicted a massive flood that would destroy the world. The pope went on worldwide TV and said, "This is punishment from God. Prepare to meet your maker." The president went on TV and announced, "Our scientist have done all they can. The end is near." The mayor of Seattle came on and said, "Due to inclement weather, this year's Seafair Parade will be moved to the top of Queen Anne Hill."

A newcomer to Seattle arrives on a rainy day. He gets up the next day and it's raining. It also rains the day after that, and the day after that. He goes out to lunch and sees a young kid and asks out of despair, "Hey kid, does it ever stop raining around here?" The kid says, "How do I know? I'm only 6."

Ok we just ran up to the school to see the teacher lists. Holy COW!

Jake's class has 17 boys and 9 girls. that poor teacher. Having a son, I'm really excited about this so hopefully he can make a good group of friends but WOW. And the kicker is that all 4 kindergarten classes have the same ratio 17 boys to 8 or 9 girls. Something must have been in the water in the 2002-2003 school year to produce such a high nuimber of males in this area.
I just read this. WOW! Are the kindergarten teachers afraid??? :lmao:

I would be totally afraid. I cannot believe all of the classes are like that. I thought it was a typo at first and chuckled about "how awful 17 boys in a class" Then dh points out that they were all like that. :lmao: I asked the administrator standing there and she said they were all making jokes about must have been a "masculine" year to have a baby! :lmao:

Dh goes "dang, he's gonna have a lot of competition"

I said "what for sports"

He said "no for girls" :scared1:
