Hi all,
I've been lurking for a while and now have a question of my own. We wiil be going to Disney For a week @ the end of May. We are bringing our beloved pug so need a pool home that is pet friendly.I have found a good deal (i think) in the Chatham Park area? Does anyone have any information on this area? i have always stayed on site for shorter trips so have never rented a home and will find any information helpful. Thanks! :thumbsup2

We stayed here in 1997 and my sister stayed here in 1998.

Nice, but slightly older estate with tennis courts/community pool.

Not too far from SR535 to get you to WDW very quickly and there is also a Publix at the corner of the 192 and 535, as well as a wal-mart a little further east on the 192.

It wasn't bad. When we first turned on to Siesta Lago Drive we were a little concerned because there was a seedy looking trailer park there..but Chatham Park is well away from that. Be aware of children because there are quite a few that wait for school buses.
All the houses look so similar - especially at midnight after a LONG day! so try to find a "landmark".
If you have any specific questions please ask I'll be glad to help.

Thanks for the info. We (me, DH, DD13,DD10) just had the rental agreement sent to us and have only 8 days to return.. i hope im not making a mistake.

Anyone else stay there recently?
About how lomg didi it take to get to the parks? And was traffic a nightmare?? We r going Mem day weekend but staying the whole week.

It really didn't take that long at all to get to the parks. I'm going to guess at 15 mins - getting in car and getting out again. Take the "shortcut" when you come out of the development go right. When you come to the stop sign make a right again. This is the quickest way. Make a left at the light and you'll be on 195. Actually we are thinking of staying here again this Nov/Dec.
What house are you staying at..if you don't mind me asking. Maybe we stayed at the same place!

Kimbac thanks for the info we are staying on Chatham Circle.
Any other shortcuts or tips to share?
Anyone?

We stayed there a number of years ago, it was ok - but as others have said it is an older development.

If the owners have looked after the property I am sure you will be fine.

Location is good though, easy access to the 192, supermarkets and restaurants.

Bumping this up for the weekend lurkers / disers

Shortcuts or Directions??
:thumbsup2
