Hope you had a great 4th!!!

Can't wait to read more of your adventures

In the picture of the dream squad members, how come two of the girls are wearing vests? How are they different from rest of the dream squad?:goodvibes

Hello! Please accept my apologies for the much longer than expected delay. Sometimes life just gets busy, you know? :) I will be back to answer your questions and to keep the udpates going. See you all again soon!

I enjoyed the last couple updates! I just have a couple things to comment on...

I don't often have the chance to ride the rides while working. I did manage to get onto Indiana Jones before my trip was over, but when I'm working it is my goal to make sure everyone else is having a great time!

I've heard that one is wonderful! Like Dinosaur (in AK)...but even better! (right?)

Back to the photos for a bit . . .

I had the chance to meet many of the second grade students who were on hand for the ceremony and to meet Col. Kelly. Here's a picture of us having fun after they rode Toy Story Mania and before they had to head back to their bus . . .

And, just for the fun of it, here is a photo that Karen (my guest services guide) took for me at the stage where the Toy Story Mania event took place.

and I LOVE that pic of you "with rollercoaster Mickey ears" :thumbsup2

Wow I just found this thread this morning, somehow I wonder how I can get so far out of the loop:lmao:! It was very eerie reading about your adventures and new job, especially since is strangly resembles an ongoing dream that I have had for about the last 7 years.... Are you sure you haven't been reading my mind:rotfl2:? Can't wait for your next installment!

Justin, I really enjoyed reading your "First Official Visit as Chief Magic Official" report on the CMO site! Especially enjoyed the part about the family you chose for the sneek peek ride on Toy Story Mania!! YAY for you!! :thumbsup2 Sounds like it was all such a wonderful time!

Yikes! It has been WAY too long since I've had the chance to pos here! I'm sorry! I will be back to finish the Disneyland updates and to keep you all informed about what else is going on - I promise!

For now (since I have to run out the door to a meeting), I only have time to tell you about one new opportunity. thank you for pointing this out!

I just read it and got chills, especially as I read how the press got to spread some Disney magic of their own! Too cool!!!! :goodvibes

Can't wait for more! :cool1:

Justin, you just have the biggest smile on your face all the time! You must be having the time of your life. Thanks for posting these stories and pictures. I'm smiling just reading and seeing the pictures.:)

Darn, I didn't know about MagicMeets until your post. Since DH and I live in the Pittsburgh area we could have driven there. Bummer, registration is closed. So I'll wait to read all about it from your posts and live vicariously through you!

Hey, you're not going to be in WDW for July 4th by any chance, are you?

Thanks for checking out my pictures and for your compliments! This truly is the experience of a lifetime and I'm very fortunate to be able to share it with all of you. I'll be sure to update you on my experience at MagicMeets as well - so you can make sure you sign up ahead of time for next year! :)

As you probably already noticed, no, I wasn't in Walt Disney World on the 4th of July. Were you? Did you have a great time?

Justin -
I kept having the feeling you look like someone else. Then it hit me. Does anyone ever mention that you resemble Jared Fogle the Subway sandwich chain spokesman?

DisGal
:cool2:

Ha! :) Believe it or not, you are not the first person to mention this to me. I guess, in some way, I should take it as a compliment, but I'm not sure he'd be the first "celebrity" I'd like to resemble!

Great thread Justin! Thanks for posting the pictures from your adventures!!

Waiting for more! popcorn:: popcorn::

You're welcome! Thanks for reading! More pictures coming soon!

Wow, such great photos!! I'm so enjoying all the details of your trip!! I have to ask, were you totally exhausted by the time you returned home? It looks like you did SO much!!!

Yeah, I have found that it's harder to come home and return to "life" than I expected. I tend to come home exhausted and need a day or two to recover. Other than that, the trips are all incredibly exhilarating experiences!

I can't wait to read your stories, I'm from PA also, kind of inbetween Central and Eastern PA.

Nice to meet you! I'll be out your way this weekend (Harrisburg area) for a Disney fan convention - MagicMeets. Thanks for following along on my journeys!

Hope you had a great 4th!!!

Can't wait to read more of your adventures

The picture was taken in the sitting room of the Dream Suite. The two young ladies in the white vests were the concierges for the Dream Suite for that day, so they were in the attire for that role. Hope that helps!

Where's our CMO - Chief Missing Official?????????????????? :goodvibes

Ha ha ha! There you go bringin' the funny again! Thanks for making me smile!

probably he's pretty busy leading a double life.

Fortunately for me, leading a double life doesn't require a Hannah Montana-esque blonde wig. That might push me over the edge . . .

:)

Glad to hear you are enjoying the thread! And, in a weird way, I guess it's good to know that I can sort of live out your dream . . . hmm . . . something like that! Thanks for joining us and please keep coming back for more!

Thanks for checking out the CMO site! I'm glad you enjoyed the report. We will keep working to post new and fresh material there, so please bookmark the page or check back every week or so to see if there is anything new!

The Toy Story Mania event in May in Walt Disney World was incredible. I can't wait to get my report from the TSM event in Disneyland in June up on the site so that you can keep following all of the incredible adventures I'm fortunate enough to be a part of!

Thanks Cherbear! Involving the media was a great idea and they really did seem to buy into the magic!

This "Year of a Million Dreams" campaign is a pretty remarkable thing!

Here's a reminder (if you didn't see the original post on page 26) of a new development:

Now, back to a few more pictures!

I left off with just a quick introduction to my last day in the parks during my Disneyland trip in June. On Wednesday (June 18th) I spent part of the day with the Dream Squad!

n506475946_942958_9486.jpg

They allowed me to be a part of a couple of "prize drops". Here are some photos from us awarding Dream "ears" near Big Thunder Mountain . . .

Later that day I was present to help award some lanyards with the amazing members of the Dream Squad...

n506475946_942963_1050.jpg

Sprinkled throughout the day I had some special surprises that the Disneyland Cast Members shared with me. . .

I was able to tour the Disneyland Dream Suite (located above Pirates of the Caribbean in New Orleans Square). It is a remarkable, sprawling, apartment, packed full with amazing details, incredible technology, and decorating that really evokes the pinnacle of Walt's life.

I, sadly, was too in awe to take as many pictures as I should have (what was I thinking??!!)

Here is a shot of the view across the Rivers of America from the balcony. Talk about the perfect spot to watch "Fantasmic!" (If you've never been to Disneyland, this is where they present "Fantasmic" every night. It's truly incredible!)
n506475946_942959_9785.jpg

(How about the fact that you can still canoe in the Rivers of America? :) )

And here I am on the balcony of the Dream Suite with Big Thunder Mountain off in the distance . . .
n506475946_942961_413.jpg

AND, here is a glimpse of the bathtub in one of the bathrooms. It's complete with twinkling fiber-optic lights in the mosaic tile ceiling that can perform a choreographed display to music from Fantasia and a Tiffany stained glass window. Not bad, huh?! :)
