Hey guys.

I'm the one who said simple versus deluxe, and I'm sorry you took it as being rude. I'm a camper and like things simple, which is what camping is to me -- I was thinking simple as camping. This as opposed to the people who like all the amenities like concierge, turn-down service, room service, etc. - you know, the pampered life.

I apologize that my comment came off as such, and kind of floored and embarrassed that it was so misinterpreted.

Unfortunately, you don't know me, or you would realize that I never meant it that way.

Nah, don't slink away. We had a tussle last week with someone that used that phrase in a very nasty way, and then recanted it when she was called on it by our "gang" of fort fiends. It was kinda ironic that you had such great timing. Many of us here on the camping forum have met each other in person and the ones I haven't met, I am working on it! That chat was WAY too fast for me, and it is very hard for us camping folk to keep on a subject, very hard. I was just kidding. There are very few people I would actually flame. Sometimes my nasty temper does show. I had also forgotten who had said it in the chat. It was very hard to keep up.
