Well tomorrow we leave for my son's open heart surgery after being postponed twice by the hospital. I have received a lot of encouragement from fellow diser's, but I received a book from a co-worker that is really nice and I wanted to share it with all of you. It is called "Chasing Away the Clouds" Here is a page......

A Little Morale Booster

You're really something, do you know that?
And in spite of whatever may happen in your day, you are going to stay that way: trying and giving and living life in the best way you know how. So keep your spirits up, and keep things in perspective. It's going to be okay.

You've made it through difficult things before, right? Right. And you always land on your feet. Maybe not dancing; maybe not always sure about what to do next......But you always manage to figure things out. Especially when your're able to keep your sense of humor and not lose your smile. If you really thing about it, you'll realize that you are a very strong individual. Someone who may not have all the answers, but who is at least willing to hope and try and believe.

You can see your way through just about anything: it all depends on how you look at it. And when people look at you, they see someone who really is......pretty amazing.

(Whether you're trying to endure or striving to endeavor, be the kind of person who can handle all kinds of "whether".)

:D :D

I really like that! Who is the author?

Thanks for sharing that passage. I really needed to read that today! I wish you the best tommorow! My DS has had 3 operations, (not anywhere near as serious as heart operations) and I understand your anxiety. I will say a prayer for you all! Good luck and Good health!

Thanks everyone for your positive messages. His actual surgery is Friday morning - we have to go out of town, so we will arrive tomorrow for all of the pre-op testing.

I will let everyone know how it went as soon as I can! And thanks again, for all of your well wishes.

Charlene

Bless your little one, Charlene. I'll keep him in my prayers.
