it doesn't seem as if they really gave it a chance to take off. I had never heard of it until someone said something here on dis. and I have 2 chase cc accts.
$25 fee? No thanks.
Yes - why would you need a branch? I've never been in one and have had the card since day one.We don't have a Chase nearby, but I've been debating on this darn little card for awhile now. Anyone think it's worth it if you don't have a Chase branch nearby?
I worked for Visa International for years and years so let me explain how reward cards work. Disney and Chase (or any Visa bank they want) negotiate an agreement. Somebody has to pay for these rewards. It's business deal - it may even count that Disney uses Chase for business funds. It can get very complicated. It's all about money. It really had nothing to do with what customers want. The bottom line is do Chase and Disney make money by keeping this agreement or not. If not they drop it.FWIW, I just called and spoke with a really, really nice guy who gave me a bit more info. He said that for current card holders, reward dollars will continue to accrue for the rest of this year, and will expire two years after that.
He also submitted a formal complaint to corporate on my behalf (and worded it better than I could have!) and did say to tell all my "Disney friends." He said that they (corporate) do weigh those formal complaints to a fair degree, and that if they start getting enough of them they might reverse their (stupid, IMO) decision. So if you like the card like I do, then please do call the number on the back of it and lodge a complaint.![]()
Chase is about to become a distant memory.

So everytime time you spend 200.00 you get 1.00? I think I will stick with the rewards card I have I get rewards for every 3.00 I spend.
What!!!I have had mine since the day they began offering it, and that little piece of plastic makes me so happy.
Just seeing Mickey and the gang every time I pull my card out of my wallet makes me smile so big -- and so many clerks & cashiers have smiled big and commented on it too! And the Disney reward dollars are the icing on the cake. I mean, I use my debit card for everything anyway, I love getting rewarded for doing that. Our visit to 'Ohana next month will be completely paid for, tip & all, with my rewards card, and it paid for the Dessert Party too.
I wonder if they're going to change the rewards plan at all for those of us who have the cards??
