Is there a rep onboard to sign up for the Disney Chase card? I'm wondering if there are additional incentives beyond what would be available when just applying at any other time.

Thanks in advance!

Just a $25 drink credit which you have to personally request be put on your account before you board the ship (probably about three days I think that is when they stop adding to your account). You have to pay entire booking with card to get it.

No discounts for using your Disney Visa onboard. Just the drink credit and any free financing you might use.

It's actually a $50 drink credit when you pay for the trip in full. I just got it on our trip last month. Every little bit helps!

I think the OP is wondering if you get anything just for signing up for a new card while on the ship. That I don't know. You would think they would give you a little something as an incentive to apply and spend alot on the ship...lol

I searched online for the disney gift card promo. Then literally a week later I got an application in the mail for the $200 disney gift card promo when you sign up for the credit card. Probably coincidence, but it worked out. I don' t remember seeing anything onboard for the card.

Did you have two rooms? Because it is definitely $25/room. We also just had it. Also, you have to be sure you charge to different rooms. They will not let you share the credit between rooms.

We went on the Wonder in March and us and another family that we traveled with both have the card. We each got $50 credit for drinks.

Wow, so now I am really confused and wondering if we did not get the right credit!

Thanks so much for the responses! Yes, I was inquiring about opening a new account and if there is a rep onboard. We definitely want to get the card... just wondering if we should wait and do it onboard (if they offer a different incentive as it would be an "impulse decision" for most people while on vacation) or do it before. Our cruise is already paid in full.

Thanks again!! :)

Mine is a $50 OBC too. Maybe the difference is between the regular and premier?

Nope just the one room and it was $50 for sure. I wonder why yours was only $25? That's strange.

Dh and I are both DCL platinum members. We got a Florida resident discount (cruise still costs a fortune - believe me!), and paid in full with Disney Visa Chase card. We were told we are not eligible for the $50.00 on-board drink credit because we got the Florida resident discount. They would not even let us use the "booking on-board" that we signed-up for on our last cruise. You would think for what we are paying, and paying in full with the Disney Visa, that they would throw in the $50 Visa credit.

Another plus for Princess (besides military credit for any past veteran, and credit for stockholders) is that they let you combine multiple credits, including any discounts they are offering at the time. (Like the free gratuities special we got for our next cruise with them.)

We were told $50.00 but I plan to pay off with gift cards, so does that mean we won't get the credit. We used it for our deposit.

With the credit, do you need to notify them at the time of booking? Or once it's paid off all being done with the card? I recently changed to Chase for my banking for other reasons and opted for the Disney debit which gets the same perks but without the rewards.

You only get the credit if the whole cruise is paid for with the Disney Visa card or their Rewards card. If you pay it off with gift cards, you will not receive the credit.

You need to have the promo code on your reservation. This can be added at any time. The one time we were eligible for it (didn't have an on board booking) we had them add the code when we made the final payment.

OP, there is no Chase representative on the ships so there is nowhere to sign up for the card while you are sailing. So no extra perks. If you are going to get the card, might as well do it now and get 0% financing for 6 mos. on any cruise payments you put on the card.

Is there a standard promo code for all Disney visa holders? Just wondering where I'd get the code being that I'm paying our entire cruise on our Disney visa. I booked on the Disney cruise site and made the downpayment that way.....will pay in full the same way.

From the Disney Visa website: You'll receive a $50 onboard credit for beverages when you pay for your Disney Cruise Line vacation in full with your Disney Visa Card and mention this offer. Call 1-800-257-2024 or your travel agent to book a Disney Cruise Line vacation and ask for booking code DCC.

Yep, we did the B2B in March and had the $50 beverage credit on both cruises. For us we think of it as 10 drinks of the day. We also had a $50 OBC from Dreams Unlimited for each of the cruises too. OP, other than the $50 drink credit associated with the Disney CC, I don't know any other.

Yes the entire cruise must be paid with the Disney Visa to get this credit. I had my TA take care of the details.....

So once the cruise is paid in full just call them and they will add the credit to my stateroom account? When does this need to be done?
