Charming Events?

Has anyone used them for floral? I have been speaking with Emily for the past few days and all her ideas just seem perfect. She has also recommended me using chair covers, and linens of hers and I was wondering if Disney allows you to do that, and if they do, do they charge fees for having other people come in and put their linens in? Also does anyone know how much charming events costs (just an estimate, if anyone doesn't mind). It's my first person I have spoken to about flowers, but it just seems right, I'm hoping she is within my budget!

Hi there! Emily is my florist too. she is amazingly nice!!! I think she's having her baby this week actually????

Anyway, I think you have to spend over $2,000. The reason for this is that she only does one wedding per day in order to give you her full attention. You can do a search for Emily at Charming Events on the board to find some pics.

I have made so many changes to my floral contract since I booked her last October and she has been nothing but patient & sweet.

Which locations have you chosen? I chose Ariel's and since its so colorful in there, i kept the covers white and she agreed that would be fine.

Well I haven't actually booked yet, but I want the wedding pavilion and the grand Floridan ballroom. I am doing pink/ivory with gold accents and would like to use the linens that come for free! But I love all her ideas, she is going to give me a quote in the next week or so, hopefully it will be in my budget!!

I just used Emily on Saturday for WP and GF and everything was fabulous. She did my linens (table covers and chair covers) and her prices were less than Disney. I think her minimum is $3000 but I got alot more for the same money than what Disney suggested. I really can't say enough good things, my floral was incredible and I can't wait to get some pics!

The only negative thing that I will say is that Disney makes it hard on outside vendors and I have only heard that - from brides who have used them

I know for example (I used Disney Floral) my rehearsal was at 4:30 and there was a wedding at 6 and an outside florist was there. They made them stop what they were doing and actually remove some things for my rehearsal (because they had already placed the aisle runner). Now my rehearsal was scheduled - but the florist argued and they carried on, I am not sure who they were, but they really acted ugly and kept saying that they would have to push the wedding back. My EM told them they were not supposed to be in there until 5. It was a mess because they wasted more time fussing, if they would have shut up and let us in it would have been over much faster.

Well, judging from your "volume" you do get more for your buck with Emily. If you were to use Disney Florists that amount would be well over $5K.
Florists are going to try to add as much as possible so you just have to be frank about your budget and ask her to help you stick to it. I told her my budget was $3K. we worked out the below contract:

I'm a little over budget, but like you say everything sounds beautiful, your willing to spend the extra hundred.

also, search the internet for different styles that may be cheaper for centerpieces. you can also try lowering the amount of flowers on each bouquet and perhaps minimizing the ceremony decor. it also depends on what's more important to you.

For me it was reception decor. My ceremony is at the WP which I think is beautiful without any decor, so I really kept the decor minimal for this. Think about what you feel would need more enhancement and what YOU would love to see, cut corners on the rest. Hope this helps!
