Charm Bracelets?

I was interested in getting my girls those charm bracelets that are made of little squares with pictures on them of things they are interested in etc...
What do you call them? Do you buy them by the link? How many links would you need to make a bracelet?
I was thinking of getting them on ebay -does anyone know what a good price is? Thanks so much

They are Italian Charm bracelets... I got my sister one for her birthday. I got mine off of ebay. They can get expensive but I got a good deal on ebay. And then there are thousands of extra charms you can buy, they are around $1-$3 each depending on what they are.

They have inexpensive ones at Claires or The Icing if you have those stores near you (and you don't want a "real" one). Also, department stores usually have them in their holiday displays and if you find a coupon they're not that expensive. The great thing is you can get some Disney ones on your next trip as a nice souvenier.

Wow, I've got to find the inexpensive charms. I get all my charms at a kiosk in the mall, and they're generally $15 plus. I have found a few in Disney that are around $5. Same with high school actually. My bracelet was a gift back in 2001, but I know the kiosk thing at least, you can buy 3 charms and get a free starter bracelet.

I got one for my DD at Kohl's last weekend. Bracelet was $5.99 and came with 5 charms. There were different ones to choose from (religious, sports, and a few others). The extra charms were $1.20 each and they had Christmas ones, and some that dangle. Very cute.

ebay is really the route to go... I got a watch bracelet for my sister for $11 I think and charms that had my, hers and my little sisters names on it for $1 each... they are the real deal too.
