How bad was it there? Have a few relatives who live on Whiskey Creek-Altadeena Drive. We have not heard from them, nor have any of the other relatives. Have message in to Red Cross, but hoping someone could reassure us.
Carla phone lines are down and cell phones are not working because of overload. It may be a while until you hear from them. Keep trying. I hope you hear someting soon.
hoping and praying the same for you!! My mom lives in a trailer park in North Fort Myers and they had NO damage to their trailer. My sisters and dad live close to the beach and had minimal damage to their homes. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!!!!!
I spoke with my mother-in-law in N. Ft. Myers. She had no damage to her trailer. She is just without power. She said the damage to her entire park was minimal.
I have a brother in Fort Myers. He and his wife rode the hurricane out in their home. They were lucky. There was some minimal landscape damage; bushes, trees, etc. They also lost power as I'm sure everyone there did. I think Fort Myers was pretty fortunate considering how much worse it could have been to them.
Call your local Red Cross Chapter. They will coordinate with the Red Cross Disaster Team on site to locate your relatives. Although they will probably not be able to have them actually call you, they will relay a message as to their safety and whereabouts back to you.
Have had a call into the Red Cross since yesterday, they have a 24 hour lag time to try and locate them. Was hoping to get news sooner, none of the relatives have heard from them.
