We are going to spend a couple of days in Charleston before going to our beach house in June. We have visited Charleston several times before and have done most of the tourist things. We've been to the aquarium, Ft. Sumter, Aircraft Carrier, the Battery, Slave market, Rainbow Row... We are all history buffs and my kids especially love Civil War history. We'd like to do a walking tour. Can someone point me to a good self-guided tour that might take us to some out-of-the way places?

Charlestowne landing has reopened and it is a nice place to visit. You could also do magnolia gardens, and Middleton plantation. Those are the only ones that seem to come to my mind. Here is a link you can check out for more info
