We have two families staying on one reservation at Fort Wilderness. We would all like the advantage of making charges to the "room". When we get the bill at the end of the stay, will it say which magic band charged what? Or do we just have to kind of keep tabs and figure it out ourselves?

You might want to stop back at the Front Desk once a few charges are made to ensure they are being split appropriately.

The MDE mobile app now allows you to view your room charges, but I don't know if it will display properly under this situation.

That's so awesome. I will make sure we check that charges are being split appropriately!

A month ago a member of our party went to the front desk to have their band set to charge to their own credit card, and it worked fine.

You can also see the charges to your folio via the MDE app now, and I think just like they do when the front desk prints a copy of the folio, each line item provides the name of the person who charged the transaction. If the app doesn't I know the printed folio does. So even if things don't split out to the different credit cards correctly, you'll be able to identify who charged what.

The resorts have been able to do this for years. They were able to connect different credit cards to different key cards long before Magic Bands existed.

Regardless, though, the print out of your room account does show the name of the person who made the charge (i.e. the band that was used). Haven't been since the ability to view the room account was added to MDE, so don't know how that looks - but I'd expect it to show the same info as on the printout.

The Front Desk can set it up so that each family's purchases will go to their own CC.
Yep I do this all the time when I go down with a friend, we both have our CC on our own MB with different pin numbers works great.

They really do think of everything. :)
We have stayed at resorts before but never had more than one family on a reservation.

If you don't put separate CC on bands, the bill at the end does state which band made each purchase (at least from my exp). So either works.

A friend and I did this last year and what a mess!! The printout from the FD did not separate it out so you had to add each persons tab up. They were finally to at least tell us what was on what card and we both paid our charges before we checked out or at least we thought so. About a month after we returned home i got a statement in the mail from Disney so i opened it not realizing it was my friend's statement. It had her name and my address i'm assuming because the reservation was under me and my address but her address is in their system too, she goes more often than i do. It showed all her charges still open at about $500.00! I gave her the statement and she called Disney, they looked into it and said she was all set. Another month goes by and another statement, this went on for about 10 months. She called every month and they told her the same thing each time, all set. Finally she blasted them and the statements finally stopped. She had proof the bill was paid. This situation has made me nervous about our upcoming trip. I don't want another problem like this with 6 of us. However i think it would only be my family on one card and my sister on her own. We'll see what happens. It's nice not to have to bring a lot of cash to the parks.

p.s. if you forget your pin, do you reset it at check in? I didn't see where i can reset it on MDE.
