Planning our second trip to wdw (1st for DH!). We will be me, DH, DS #1 (4 at time of travel) and DS #2 (2 at time of travel). The kids LOVE the character dining. We will purchase the DDP and get a ticket for DS #2. It is just what we will do. I have run the excel spreadsheet and confirmed that for us the DDP makes sense -- current total is $1028 for JUST the meals (no snacks etc) and the DDP with no discounts would cost $1103. We plan to stay at the GF or Poly or CR (I KNOW - make up your MIND)

We plan to go in Jan/Feb 2010 if that matters. Also we usually will head back to the resort for R&R and hopefully pool time if the weather allows.

That said it looks like we will pay for a CS or 2 out of pocket in exchange for getting the last meal done. In addition I am missing a meal and wanted some suggestions -- also am not sure about Kona or Narcoossee?

Here is the plan -- any and all feedback is encouraged:

Day 1 (arrive) -- maybe MK in the afternoon if we get in on time and want to -- might just do the pool etc
Lunch -- CS
Dinner -- 1900 Park Fare

Day 2 -- MK
Breakfast -- Chef Mickey's
Lunch -- CS
Dinner -- Hoop de Doo

Day 3 -- AK
Breakfast -- Donald Safari
Lunch -- CS
Dinner -- CRT

Day 4 -- MK
Breakfast -- CS (Main Street Bakery)
Lunch -- Crystal Palace
Dinner -- HELP!!

Day 5 -- Epcot
Breakfast -- Princess Story Book (DS #1 LOVES the pretty girls!)
Lunch -- CS
Dinner -- Kona's (??)

Day 6 -- DHS
Breakfast -- Ohana's
Lunch -- Hollywood & Vine
Dinner -- Narcoossee (??)

Day 7 -- Go home
Breakfast -- Park Fare

Thanks if you read all of this!!

Ok- well your selections look great- but i have to chime in on why in the world would u be purchasing a ticket and ddp for your 2 year old?

Just of the places you listed you'd like to eat at-
your child will eat AS MUCH AS HE WANTS FOR FREE at

1900 park fare
chef mickeys
hoop dee doo
donald's safari
crystal palace
princess storybook at akershus
ohana's
hollywood and vine
and 1900 park fare again

You literally woudl just be throwing money away to purchase the plan for them.
For the counter service meals and the other sit downs that are NOT all you can eat- chances are the 2 year old could split w/ the 4 year old, OR you can purchase those extra meals. But to me it wouldn't be worth the money spent on the ddp AND the ticket that you DON'T need.

Sorry- i know that's not the question you asked about- but I just wanetd to make sure you know that they'll eat what they want for free at those places.

All the dinign choices look GREAT and i'm sure the kids will have an amazing time!!!!

I don't think you can purchase the DDP for your DS#2 unless you lie and say he's 3. I have no idea why you would want to do that. He can eat for free at most places and share a CS meal with your or your DH. They are big enough that's for sure!

Either way I think your meal plan looks great! :goodvibes
