Can anyone help me with info. about having the Characters sign t-shirts for my kids. I think I have heard that they will not sign them while the children are wearing them, so if anyone has done this before, how is the easiest way to do it? Do you have to use a special pen or will a sharpie work? Didnt knwo if it would bleed through. Thanks for the help. :wave2: :flower: :mickeybar

I haven't done it personally, but remember people talking about it here on the boards.

Sharpies are the best to use since they are permanent and shouldn't smudge. You are correct, the characters won't sign the shirt if someone is wearing it.

Some people put cardboard in between the shirt so there it is stiff for them to write on, but the best one I've heard is to use an embroidery hoop. The hoop would hold the fabric tight so it's much easier to write on and the characters will sign where YOU want them to. You can get the hoops at any craft store (Michael's, AC Moore or even Wal-Mart) in the yarn/embroidery sections.

I may have to try this one of these trips. It would make a great decoration!

Have a great trip!

We bought plain white t-shirts and several different colors of fabric markers. We carried a small piece of cardboard to insert inside the shirt as the characters signed it. Each character signed in a different color. We only did this at a character meal...don't know how convenient it would be otherwise. It really worked well for us at the meal, though, and the kids love their shirts.

Sharpie marker - Tshirt from EPOCT (or your reort - do white color) - Bring to EPCOT - have a person at each country wite 'hello' and your childs name in their language.

We did this for my DD - extra large shirt. She wears it as a night shirt -has 9 different languages on it. I think some counties wrote more than hello - but don't ask me - I do not speak the other languages.
My DD t-shirt from EPCOT is a big hit at sleep overs.

Other idea's - My DS bought a bongo drum rom Mexico - and had each of the countries write to him on the canvas top. The bongo came with a strap and it now hangs in my DS room.
