Characters Outside the Park

O.k - so this may sound a bit sneaky, but I wondered which restaurants outside the Park have some of the Disney characters in the evening.
DF and I will not have any at our wedding, but our reception ends at 7pm and I wondered if DH and I went somewhere for a drink in our wedding attire could we snag a photo with a character? Is this wrong?

I've been pondering this too!
In theory I would think any character meal in a resort NOT in a park would allow for more photos in your wedding dress, like this:

Garden Grove Dinner in the Swan Hotel opens at 5:30 pm nightly and has the following character entertainment: Monday and Friday - Timon and Rafiki; All other nights Goofy and Pluto.

However, the hotel itself might classify it as a special event and have a minimum meal requirement.

Anyone know the answer to this? If I show up to a non park but WDW resort/hotel meal in my wedding dress will they:
A) kick me out (teeheehee)
B) charge me a minimum for a "special meal" (i.e. minimum 10 guests, $5000)
C) treat me like a princess....

There is absolutely no prohibition on dining at the resort restaurants in your wedding attire, and many brides have done this as a way to get pictures with characters in their gowns.

I *think* the only resort restaurants that do character dinners are Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary and 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian, in addition to that one at Garden Grove...

I don't think drinks and dessert would be an option... I'm pretty sure both Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fair are Buffet dinners

DH and I had our wedding night dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I was originally planning on wearing my wedding dress, but after being in it all day and it was so super hot, I decided against it and just wore my tiara and veil. I still got treated like a princess The characters were really receptive and asked about our wedding.

are there any character lunches that anyone knows about at resort (not park) restaurants?

I'm getting in my dress at 5 am, MK photo shoot, wedding,celebration,then more photos at AKL.... at that point if I can't eat with a character I'm ripping my dress off and going to Blizzard Beach

According to AllEars' chart, the only character dining at lunch is inside the parks...

We didn't do a character meal the day of our wedding (and wouldn't have had time to-we were very busy all day!). We did do a character breakfast at the Beach Club after our 5:30 am mk/epcot photo shoot. It was a good plan too because when they dropped us off at the Beach Club after our photo shoot we were starving! The only time I could get at the last minute was 10:35 but when I walked up in my wedding dress and asked nicely they were kind enough to get us in much earlier than that. You would have to pay for a whole meal-I don't know of any character meals that you'd be able to pay for drinks and dessert only since they are all family style or buffet. The breakfast was very good, the staff was wonderful to us, and we got pics with Goofy, Minnie, and Donald.
